Hello all,
Seems most people are sealing the top exhaust vent in the P183. I was just wondering what the general 'best' method if there even is one to seal it.
If I just removed the fan and didn't seal the exhaust vent, how 'bad' would this be?
Thanks.

Best option for quiet "high" end video card?
Hello all, I'm leaning towards a Sapphire Toxic 4890 w/ Vapor-X or MSI GTX Superpipe 285 I game quite a bit at 1920x1200 so I'd like to have something fairly powerful. I know silence is probably impossible, but from my research those seem to the two 'quietest'. Was just wondering if I missed anythin...

Which AMD Heatsinks have correct fan orientation?
I just bought an AMD BE 955 and Asus motherboard and was just wondering if people knew which of the latest heatsinks fit with the fans facing the correct direction ( West-East, versus North-South ). Just looking at the recommended heatsinks, do the follow mount correctly: Thermalright HR-01 Plus Xig...

I got a phantom as well and I'm very pleased w/ it. My temperatures are more or less exactly the same, but 1C or 2C higher... not exactly sure. I had a Super Tornado 300W and I'm very impressed. The Phantom does have a bit more buzz, but I can live with that. I only have 1 case fan in my comp. A 120...

It uses DDR3, which runs cooler than normal DDR1/2 and doesn't require any ramsinks. If you look at pictures, the X800 HSF doesn't cover the ram chips, while the 9800XT does. Also, looking at tests, stock for stock, the X800 seems to draw only a little more power. I'm not sure if that translates dir...

Yea, the Enermax looks really good, not a fan of the color, but not too important. What kind of fan mod would every suggest? It's a dual fan setup. Does anyone know if the two fans would plug directly into the PSU or is soldering required ( I can't )? Or I could always just run the fans indepent of ...

Fan Controller that can read Voltage?
Hello, I have a Zalman fan controller that I love, but the only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have any voltage indicators or read outs. While it doesn't really matter, I guess I'm weird and would just like to know the exact voltages my fans are getting. Does anyone know if such a product exi...

I'm gonna be running a smiliar system with two Mobile XPs, 2 HDs and a 9700 or 9800 Pro ( whatever I decide to keep ) and 1 DVDRW. Do you think the Nexus would be adequate? I'd probably similar or slightly less power. I'm sure Nexus has enough power, but I'd worry that it would be overly stressed an...

Best/Quietest 400W+ PS = Zalman w/ L1A mod?
Hello all, I'm gonna be building a dual AMD system, so I'll need at least 400W+ to be safe. It seems that the Seasonics are having all kinds of problems. Would a Zalman PS w/ a L1A mod be the most quiet 400W PS? And more importantly, would this mod be safe and sufficient to cool the PS properly? Als...

Any undervoltable 865/875 P4 Motherboards? For P4-M
I just got a P4-M, but it seems it defaults to 1.575.
Are there any boards out there currently that will undervolt and provide full memory dividers for P4-Ms?
It's a 2.2 D1 stepping rated at 1.3V. I'd love to try and setup a passive system....

Yeah, my next setup is gonna be Innovatek. Performance seems decent, esp with the low flow and smaller tubing, but it'll be much easier to route the tubing in a tight case. 1/2 ID is big stuff.... Also the quality seems extremely high, so we'll see how that goes, unless I manage to find a Cascade as...

Nice system, I also think very lowly of the MCW5002 block. It's mounting mechanism is just okay on the P4 and terrible on Athlons... A WB that screwed through the MB would be much better. A RBX or WW would be great for a Athlon, plus it has good mounting mechanism. How hard was it to drill those hol...

Super Tornado 300W Fan Doesn't Spin?
Hello all, I've been using a 300W Super Tornado for a few days now and its super quiet... and then while running my system with the case open, I noticed the case fan didn't move. I heard that some revs of this power supply have some idle stop feature. I then began to load my system with Prime95, etc...

I've tried the Zalman and Vantec controllers but both protrude too much for the front door to close properly.
Anyone have any epxerience with a controller that'll fit?
