In theory yes, but that 3000+ will bottleneck hard your GTX. I'm going to use 2560x1600 with everything on max. Maybe I should get a 8800GTS 320MB? Which will be the bottleneck? With a bottlenecked graphics card I always had to spend an hour optimizing the settings before I could play, and then I g...

Antec Phantom 350 - how much can it power?

I have the rear grilles removed with a Papst fan blowing air through it. I have it outside the case.
Is 350watts the limit or can it do higher with the fan?

I have AMD 3000+, 2GB RAM, 2 harddrives, 1 fan.

Is it possible to connect a 8800gtx into the Phantom?

Does this new version take less watts than the older and slower VIA boards?

This new one costs 3 times more than the 600MHz versions, but I don't care about the speed, only the watts.

Nuts how? I have listened to his system (we live in the same vessel) before and after he put the paper on, it sounded better with the paper.

If you want shielding you could cover the case with carbon fiber paper like this guy: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthrea ... 316&page=9

The quieter my system gets the more annoyed I get. After I pulled the computer out of the closet it took a week to adjust to it, but then it didn't bother me at all for a month. But then I put it back into the closet and now I'm bothered by small sounds again, soon I need to replace my MX510 mouse. ...

Yeah, the difference is large between the same drives in the 7200.8 family. I measured the vibrations with my sensitive finger at the same spot on each drive. _________________ Vibration estimation % Seagate ST3250823AS Drive1: 75% Drive2: 40% Drive3: 100% Drive4: 35% Drive5: 80% Drive6: 80% Samsung...

You also need to install the Cool'n'Quiet driver for your motherboard if you haven't already done so.
To find out if it's working, look in System Properties to see if the GHz number is lower.

Have you tried with Cool'n'Quiet enabled?
You can also manually try lowering the Vcore and multiplier. This makes the CPU use less power from the PSU.

0 dB in sewer or 70 dB in castle?

How sensitive to noise are you? In all "homes" the desk and computer are exactly the same, the only difference is how it looks around you and how noisy and smelly it is.

8 harddrives in closet

My computer is fanless with the Zalman Reserator making the most noise. I made the hole through the wall as small as possible to prevent much noise from leaking out. I had to remove all cables and make the hole a little bigger a few times. Putting all cables in place was like a puzzle. I found a whi...

Seagate 7200.8 vibration inconsistencies

I got 6 Seagate 250GB 7200.8 and they vibrate a different amount when idle, there is a big difference between the drive that vibrates the most and the drive that vibrates the least. I have all drives resting on foam. I measured the vibrations with my sensitive finger at the same spot on each drive. ...

How much noise does this case block? http://www.atechfabrication.com/products/mass_storage.htm Why isn't there any reviews yet, is it because it is too expensive? 3x80gb one platter vs 2x160gb two platter, which is quieter?

I will set up a RAID 0 with Samsung Spinpoint drives. Using 3 drives instead of 2 makes it up to 50% faster than with only 2 drives, right? Three SP0812C (80gb) drives is the same price as two SP1614C (160gb) drives, and you get 50% extra speed for 33% less storage space. I have read that 2 platters...
