Antec P180B - Color-related question

I have been looking to get a black P180, but one thing putting me off is that some of the pics I've seen on the net make it look like the aluminum face and sides are a really black while the plastic parts look like a lighter, more watered down black... I was just wondering, for those who have one or...

Evercase 4252 Owner Question - Is P180 Quieter?

Can anyone who has experience with both using pretty much the same components tell me if the P180 is significantly more quieter or not? I can hear the CPU fan in my Evercase 4252 pretty well. I think the rear 120mm fan and the hard drive humming adds to that noise a bit as well. It's just a stock AM...

I figure out the DynaPower F3323 is actual a FongKai FK343 http://www.mypccase.com/noname5.html $66 for a FK343 without PS. Is FK343 still a good case? It's still a good case, IMO, but I'm wondering if the DynaPower F3323 comes with exactly the same thing as the FK343.. looks like it but how to be ...

Athlon 64 Silent Cooling Question

My case (Fong Kai FK-320b) has one of those fan ducts that mounts to the rear 90mm vent. I've been following Fong Kai's recommended setup, which is to have the front 120mm and the rear 90mm both blowing air into the case. The noise produced by the rear 90mm with fan duct blowing cool air onto the At...

so should I believe the sticker on the PS or the specs at Newegg and the spec sheets on Sparkle's website? I don't have any gadgets to check these ratings myself.

Sparkle Power Supplies Power Ratings Question

I just noticed that on the two power supplies I have, FSP300-60PN and FS300-60ATV, both of which are supposed to be +12==18.0A, the stickers actually say +12==15.0A. I bought the PN model from Newegg and their pic and specs show +12==18.0A, yet the one I have doesn't say that. The ATV model, accordi...

the one suggestion i have is put the inside aluminum panel on the door. the plastic looks tacky and cheap when the door is open. i don't know if the hinges are plastic as well, but metal would be nice. also, looks like the front panel locks, if so, having the part where it locks reinforced with met...

I'm not using the "fingers" to mount but the v-shaped area along with the rubber grommets.. wonder if the "fingers" method is actually quieter.. if so, seems kind of pointless for them to have created a grommet kit. Hello: Did you try the metal "fingers" in the 4252? Or did you just use the grommets from the beginning? Are you referring to the seek noise, or to the idle noise? What brand/model are your HD's? Hi, sorry, what do you mean by metal "fingers"? I used the grommet kit from the beginning. The kit incl...

Questions about Evercase 4252 HD Silencing Techniques...

So I just moved my computer into the new Evercase 4252-53 and I'm noticing that I can hear the hard disk chugging along more so than I could when the computer was housed in a Fong Kai FK320. The FK320 is made out of thicker metal and the front bezel doesn't have vents as airy as on the 4252 and whil...

Antec P180 in UK (pre-order)

If you're in the UK, it looks like this place is taking pre-orders for the Antec P180: http://www.gladiatorcomputers.com/acata ... Cases.html

Looks like they're asking for what converts to $178.66 USD for it, so I'm guessing it'll cost Americans around that when it's available in the USA.

Nope, I didn't have to touch any jumpers whatsoever... i simply moved the mobo from old case to new case and hooked up all the stuff onto it again. I also tried clearing CMOS to see if that'd help but it made no difference.. the motherboard is a shuttle an35n-ultra and i just ran two different tests...

Need help.. on-board sound audio-out port stopped working

Guys, I don't want to have to buy another motherboard, so I'm hoping I didn't zap it and damage the audio-out port on the mobo while moving it into my new case. When I powered up, I noticed there was no sound coming out of my speakers... i checked windows xp and it said the audio drivers are working...

Questions for Ahanix X195 (Black Knight) case owners!

Could you guys share your experiences with this case in the following areas?: 1. how sturdy is the front bezel? from what I read it's supposed to be plastic, and the hinges are reinforced plastic. just wondering if the door is as flimsy as the Antec 3700BQE case or sturdier. Also, how much noise doe...

Sources for various silencing and tidying materials?

I'm about to put together a system using an Evercase 4252 and am looking for inexpensive sources for the following parts: 1. SOFT MINI WASHERS (plastic, rubber, or other non-metal, and about the diameter of the metals circles like the ones found on motherboard mounting points.) I want to use these t...

Update: Sparkle FSP300-60PN PSU @ Newegg & Evercase 4252

I just wanted to let people know that I purchased a Sparkle FSP300-60PN last week and received it today. I was expecting it to be identical to all of the Fortron FSP300-60PN that I have seen, with the fan grill mounted on the outside of the power supply, making it not possible to fit into an Evercas...
