I've got a Danger Den NV-68 on my Gainward 6800GT GS, no issues at all with it. Drops the temps by 10 degrees over the standard, very noisy, air cooler it comes fitted with. Also cools the ram.

Not exactly cheap mind you...

If you can isolate a Ehiem 1048, you can hardly hear the thing. Mine mounted with rubber bobbins is hardly noticable, I doubt you could hear it if you suspended it.

The Dragon is a good case, plenty of space in there and well made.

Nope, there is no overclocking going on in my setup at all. This way I can run the fans really slowly and the cooling performance remains excellent. Also at the moment there would be no advantage to O/Cing the machine. It's a pure games machine and pretty much anything I throw at it at the moment ca...

BlackIcePro2 + 2x Nexus 120 fans. Shockingly effective in my setup and incredubly quiet. I'm running the fans at around 750rpm.

First dabbles into the world of watercooling.

I've just finished watercooling my Mac and PC. Click the sig to check them out.

EDIT: Site currently down... Back soon I hope. All will become clear later depending on the outcome.

:D The purple one looks so much better in the flesh... Besides, I really like purple and I think you can almost get away with it on this car.

The green one was and always will be snot green. It's important to be seen in little cars you see...

The Nexus fans are awesome. However 1 of the 3 inside my case has a very audiable click. You'd probably not even notice it but as the PC is so quiet now it needs to get sorted. It's still the best fan noise-wise I've come accross so I've ordered a couple more and will replace it with the quietest one.

You could do a much neater job than I did also as I'd already cut that hole in the case previously when I was air cooling and it's a little scruffy not to mention a little too big really for the rad. Doesn't matter though. Plenty of air gets in and you can't tell as it still looks completely stock f...

trenchdiggerr - Completed the PC today. Click my sig and it'll take you thereabouts.

FWIW, it gets a big thumbs up from me. Cooling performance is stunning (it's my first w/c system) and it's soooooo quiet it's untrue!

The 6800GT I got went easily to Ultra speeds with the NV-68 block on it.

I'm currently putting together a system to cool a P4 3.0 and 6800 GT. The dragon case I'm using easily swallows the BIP2 that I'm using. Though you have to lose the 3 1/2" bays and cut a big hole in the front. Pics and stuff will follow when the system is complete. FWIW I did a lot of reading up on ...

I've got the 17" Hitachi and it's a belter for gaming. For the best results use the DVI input if you can, force v-sync for everything and run at it's native resolution wherever possible.

I've done quite a few mods to both. The PC is particularly silly now.

Probably going to watercool it next but this will do for now.

I've got an earlier 2MB cache P80 ATA and a later 8MB cache P80 SATA. The later drive is a little quieter. But to be fair, there is little in it. 'Soft mounted' in the bottom of the case they are *very* quiet. I can't hear the SATA seeking at all at my desk.

I had the same issue. I got around it by using a Zalman bracket and 92mm fan. This way you can mount the fan the same way that the later ZM-80's do and cool both heatsinks.

Newbie with two quietish machines and another on the way!

I've become obsessed (read that as: borderline fanatical) with making my machines ever quieter and stumbled across this site when trying to find a UK supplier of 120mm Panaflow L1A's. What a top place! I've lurked for about a week now reading the forums and what not. So I thought it was about time I...
