It shows performance between the two adapters and how there effected by different electrical configurations, but what i couldn't find, was the performance between to ports on the same adapter. Each adaptor has 4 ports does it not? Unless im truely that dense today (it has happened many times), The r...

what is the performance of two devices connected to each other on the same end, Is it comparable to a gigabit switch? I would be happy with its performance over AC to my HTPC, but can it replace my GB switch i have under my desk to connect my NAS, Gaming rig and Router together? Judging by the revi...

zotac PCI GT430 in Intel DG41MJ

I have ran this motherboard for some time, and decided to simply get a graphics card upgrade rather then new motherboard. I still want to retain the ability to remove the graphics board and install my MAudio soundboard when the need arises. (mobile dj application) Anyhow I purchased said video card,...

Re: AMD HD 6900 series launch & reviews

this gpu also supports a 'negitive feedback' control to keep the gpu within a certain power envelope. According to Anandtech it does not adjust voltages, but will only adjust clockspeeds. The neat thing is though you can set a thermal envelope to lower then stock settings (between 200 and 300 watts)...

I have a 20" lcd that does just that. Hang a thick cloth, towl or other material on the wall behind the monitor to absorb the sound, it will cut down the noise a huge amount. The sound also appiers to be quieter however when the brightness (internal bulb intencity) is at maximum, and all dynamic bri...

that is to provide optical, i have used an 1/8thinch stereo to rca plug right from that output to my amplifier. However it would not work with any games for 5.1 due to no software encoding of ac3, so i went with descreet analog cords for all 6 channels.... heh.

i know there is another topic on this somewhere, but after 30 minutes of not finding it, my frustration has taken over. I am trying to undervolt a conroe Celeron Dual core on an intel DG41MJ motherboard, and RMClock only goes as low as 1.18 volts. Is there a simple bsel type mod to set the base volt...

it does have digital output on the back, The top 1/8" plug (also used as line in/mic) is a flexjack that can be set with the creative software for coaxial digital output (on the right channel when using rca adaptors i think). It is however rather limited in capability and performance. It will send u...

for anything but gaming, the onboard video isnt bad, hardware decoding of HD content and Aero are quite slick on it. But for gaming a single more powerfull video card is always better then 2 lesser ones. A single 5770 should be great for most games at decent settings. I currently run a GTX260 that h...

the problems are with the WD's smart headparking sceme which softparks the heads after 8 seconds of inactivity. Linux likes to do some sort of drive access every 10 or so seconds which drives the headpark counts through the roof and eventualy causing wear issues. At least that is how i understand it...

that looks like the retail intel heatsink, but the copper slug it uses would probibly give it better performance. What i would like to try is the taller intel heatsink with the fan removed, as a 12cm fan blowing across it proved very effective cooling.

the E cpus are great out of the box. A decent 'no muss no fuss' solution, but still far from what can be had either by undervolting or the normal cpu undervolted.

IMO get what is cheapest and try to undervolt.
