just how much louder are M1a's opposed to L1a's? I am about to mod my zalman 400b as i have found the installed fan to have horrible acoustic properties. It's definetly quiet but is cerintly not a smooth sound by any stretch of the imagination and seems to mostly consist of bearing chatter and a slo...

I have one and as yet it has not been modded. It is still the loudest fan in my case but compared to the antec leaf blower i had it is heaven.

B version is ATX 12V 1.3V compliant -- mainly, higher current on 12V. So you have had a look a the zm400b? Is there much of a difference in the amount of current on the 12v rail? I ask as i am planing to buy a zm400 (zalman products are easy to get where i am) and wonder if it is worth waiting for ...

What are the major differences between the zm a and b models? Aside from the SATA connectors there was not a documented diference on zalmans website.

this was the major concern i have when modding my antec 380tp. With the default fans the air comming from the back of the psu is very warm. I am still to decide which fans would be best for the job, but i think that panaflo L1a's will not be moveing enough air for that psu.

I've been waiting for one of these to fit on my fx 5900 for quite a while. Haveing a case with low air flow made useing a heat pipe rather dangerous(temps on the card were hitting 75'c underload) so these seem to offer a very good solution. Word from Artic Cooling is that the next revision NV Silenc...

Modding an Antec 380w Truepower Whisper *cough* Quiet PSU

Hi all, First post here, so i'll give you a little back ground. A few months ago I decieded that i was in need of a quiet computer. I purchesed a GMC x-21 trinity case to start with and proceded to mod it with gromits in the hdd cage, panaflo fans, a zalman heatpipe and a 7000cnps alcu. I also repla...
