I got mine about a week ago as well, the 1.42GHz model with the 80GB Seagate and 512MB RAM. I didn't opt for the Airport Extreme or the built in bluetooth as I have no need for wireless and I've already got a bluetooth dongle. As far as noise goes, it runs nearly silent the majority of the time. I'v...

You could also try the Coolermaster E3W-NPTXC-01 for CPU cooling with a 120mm case fan behind it. Have read elsewhere that this works well. Definately going to be looking into this fanless option... reviews on those heatsinks look good, and indicate that with adequate airflow, they cool well above ...

Unfortunately, the case I'll be using doesnt have room for a 120mm (Lian Li PC-72 full tower), but it does have two 80mm's back there which I plan...

(Relatively) Quiet Xeon Power supply?
Heya folks, Once again I resort to tapping into the thome of knowledge that is the SPCR forums. I've recently received some components for my next workstation, Two 2.4/533 Xeons and 4GB of ECC DDR2100, on an Asus PC-DL Deluxe motherboard. My question is, obviously, I need an SSI power supply to powe...

I should probably follow up my post! I eventually settled with an Asus A7N8X-X. It doesn't have everything I want, but the price was right, and reviews seem good. So far the jury is still out on whether or not I like it. Yes, it does take the 2500+ mobile. It took me a while to figure out the correc...

Motherboards that support a 2500+ mobile, and Zalman 7000?
Greetings! I recently picked up a Barton 2500+ mobile last night for about $89. Not the bet price, but it was local, so I dealt with it. This was going to replace my XP1600+ I was using in an Asus A7V266 motherboard. I had read online that this board supported the 2500+ mobile in its latest firmware...

Thanks for the info, guys. I apologize for my ambiguous wording -- I was trying to say that I essentially wanted to run two 80mm fans of each fan only connector, for a grand total of 4 (since my Zalman AlCu already has a Fanmate controller...) The front two 80mm's in this case have a speed-selectabl...

Antec "Fan Only" connector questions
Here's a question that I can't seem to find an answer for -- I've been lurking on this forum for a while, I find the information posted here extremely helpful. I have two antec power supplies - a True 380S (stock in the Sonata case) and a True 430... both of which I find to be excellent power suppli...
