Yep - looks nice. When can I get it in black? :)

Antec Rep - product page on website has a comparison link...but with old data...has p160 and p180...but not the p150. fyi.

Looking forward to a review!

Try running each drive from the PCI RAID card. If they never freeze here, and always freeze when run from the mobo's IDE controller, then you know the problem is related to the southbridge... The old VIA 686 southbridge has a bug where it would freeze/reboot the system randomly when both primary and...

HIS x800GT IceQ II

For those that want a midrange Radeon solution instead of the 6600GT, HIS has brought out their version with the arctic cooler attached. PCI-e only, though. Looks like the turbo version goes for $180US . HIS product comparision chart Similar performance/power consumption to the 6600GT...and a tad be...

Both have an old Nexus CPU heatsink and 60mm fan....limited by the mobo's layout. Current thought is to yank off the fan and u...

RAM: 1GB will work ok, but a lot of games will still use paged memory (hard disk grind) for high detail/high population areas or when changing zones, etc. I'm seeing this with WoW and am contemplating another stick.

A bit of an update.... Found a 256MB stick of PC133 at the local computer recycler (go Grey Bears!) for $15. It was a crapshoot as the memory wasn't guaranteed in any way and the dude working there manhandled the RAM as he pawed through the bin (no ESD protection). In any case, it's burning in now. ...

Generic answer: if std. commercial grade part, then should meet specs to 70C. Caveat: ASUS may have a part that is spec'd to meet higher or lower temp. See if there's an ambient operating range in the manual. If it goes to 50C, then the RAM will probably be spec'd for 70C.

If you've been going between ATI and NVidia graphics cards, perhaps they've left a little bit of s/w behind that the add/remove program utility didn't get.

Download Driver Cleanerto get rid of the leftovers.

After you check out the system temps for overheating...try running it in a minimal or Safe mode. Perhaps you have s/w that is conflicting and causing the reboot.

Did you add any software lately?

First of all, the 100k cycles refers to the Samsung chips...not a drive in particular... here's a quick look at Flash via wikipedia: One limitation of flash memory is that while it can be read or programmed a byte or a word at a time in a random access fashion, it must be erased a "block" at a time....
