I think Blue_Sky is right - I certainly very rarely leave an opinion as I don't feel I have the experience to coment in most cases. However, I just thought I would say that the Scythe Ninja in fact comes with a 120mm fan and is even more highly effective (although noisier) than when used passively.

Folding at Home makes no sense when viewed from a global benefit economic perspective. So far the results haven't made a significant impact medically and combined people are using literally 1000s of extra kilowatts to run folding at home. I can see running it on an already running computer, but run...

You need to say whether we should count income before or after tax. Does it also include overtime? I get a third of my pay from overtime payments! Well, the silence is so golden that I've decided to leave things as they are. Asus X800XT PE silencing success?

I've just upgraded my graphics card to an Asus AX800XT (AGP version). The blurb and a couple of reviews I read promised silence, but I didn't really believe it and bought an ATI silencer 4 (rev. 2) at the same time. (Yes, yes, I know that they get variable reviews, but I was going to give it a try a...

There are several threads on this in the forums. The bottom line is that no disc drives are quiet, but they can be vastly improved with the help of software such as Nero silentdrive (I think that's what it's called). The Asus drive comes with the Nero software and (speaking from personal experience)...

Thanks for the suggestion, but in a month's time my job is going to change radically and my laptop usage will drop radically too. I did debate on changing the power brick, but I really don't think it's worth it now. If my laptop usage changes again in the future, I will definitely revisit the idea.
