I went the el cheapo route with my 4200. That little whiny fan drove me nuts. I took a Zalman nb47j I had lying around and affixed that to the gpu. I then took a 60mm fan off an old stock amd hs I had. I strapped up the fan to blow onto the nb47j, then undervolted it to 5v. The fan is VERY quiet, an...

SVC.com sells 70mm to 80mm adapters. They fit perfectly, but to be honest, they don't do a whole lot...When I tossed the tmd fan my temps went up slightly, but noise dropped alot....I just used a few drops of superglue to attach an l1a right to the heatsink "shroud" and ran it at 7v...When I tried t...

I've been using a Buffalo ch-5 512 stick for over a year now,,,no problems at all. I run it in sync with a 200 fsb overclock, 6-3-3-2, and not a hiccup...I'd buy it again...

I managed to get my 2500+ down to 1.5 volt stable. That was on an 8rda+, running a 10x multiplier and a 200 fsb. I'm certain I could go lower, but that would reduce my overclock....I'll give it a shot and let you know....

I suppose the only way to know is to try...I thank everyone for their assistance and opinions. I have decided to try a duct setup instead of spending the money on a thermalright. If I'm going to drop some coin, it may as well be on a quiet watercooling system, then I can bump my overclock.... It is ...

Upgrade my aeroflow to an slk947u?

First, a little background....My current system has a 2500+ oc'ed to 10x200, an aeroflow hs with a 70 to 80mm adapter with an l1a running at 5v. My room ambient usually runs about 27C, system 34C, and cpu 50 idle / 57 load. This is on an 8rda+, cpu undervolted to 1.5v. Obviously I'm going for near s...
