Re: NCASE M1: Crowdfunded Enthusiast Mini-ITX Case

How would this work with 2x 120mm fans at the bottom blowing up and blocking the side vents to it only exhausts out top? Maybe leave a side vent open with a duct to a cpu fan to pull in cold air. I'm planning a m-atx build over the next month without a gfx card and I really like this case, it's smal...

Re: Mitx build for photography, video and music on a budget

Ok so ill get the same case but with the silverstone psu and also the scyth cooler, I think i also used it on a friends build. I only realised my sound card will be no good as its pci and not many boards come with pci slots any more. Ill have a look at asus, my preference tbh, and asrock but i didnt...

Mitx build for photography, video and music on a budget

I just moved into a tiny room where space is at a premium and I dont have the space for me current machine which is below. I've been toying with the idea of building something small like a matx or micro atx machine. My current rig doesn't always cut it either for lightroom which I would use frequent...

Re: Gigabyte GeForce 9600GT 512MB - worth getting?

From memory, I as getting 92-96C while running furmark.

I got 2x4gig ram last week and I've not actually noticed any problems since :?

I think I'll just hold of with buying a card for the moment until I can afford a better one or really need one.

Re: Gigabyte GeForce 9600GT 512MB - worth getting?

I haven't actually experienced it in the last week or so but while browsing (nothing heavy, even on facebook) screen would just go black and then into stand-by as if it were not getting a signal. I was getting some artefact also using revit. I've ran furmark for 10-15mins and temps stayed under 100 ...

Re: Gigabyte GeForce 9600GT 512MB - worth getting?

According to your signature you currently have an 8800 GT S , so the 9600 GT should be a slight improvement performance-wise, though I don't think it will matter much at all. It depends on how cheap the 9600GT is. I spotted the box earlier and noticed it was a gts I had, goes to show how well I kno...

Gigabyte GeForce 9600GT 512MB - worth getting?

I know the Gigabyte GeForce 9600GT isn't a very new card but I simply don't have the funds available to me to upgrade to a decent card. My current 8800gt is starting to give me slight problems and it's noisey! The 9600gt is 2nd hand and cheap and I like the idea of it not having any fans I also need...

I'd like to upgrade it now to something a bit better thats either fanless or practically silent. I'm way out of touch as you might have guessed by me still using a x800xl  What are your sug...

Re: Been a long time since I upgraded

I already got the 440 the other day, it was a good price compared to what I've seen around. Any cpu will be a good improvement over what I have now! I've heard conflicting opinions on Asus, I've always like them and my 1st proper mobo was a asus. No experience with gigabyte, neither have to many (or...

Re: Been a long time since I upgraded

It was lightroom that got me looking at upgrading the system (that and me looking for a performance boost). 2005 sounds about right :) I may look at a low end GPU to replace it, although that would drive the cost up again. I think I'll be making the jump to Windows 7 (or xp 64), for the moment I can...

I see from your sig you already have an Accelero S1? If I had one already i think I be looking for the cheapest 4870 to stick it on.

Antec P180 Mini + Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme - Will it w

Slight change of plan, mate wants the P180 Mini now instead of the NSK3480. My question is will the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme fit in the case and what about a fan, passive? What about other case fans, 3x120mm? 2x intake and 1 for exhaust. Looking at the spcr review the big 200m fan isn't perfec...
