I've got the non-hdmi version of this board and like it. But, the onboard digital out is horrible. It works but I lose the signal frequently. the monitor shuts off for a second or 2 every few minutes. It's a common problem with these ,not sure if it's heat related... I decided to just use a pci-e ca...

It works! I do have an x1300 card in there though. Funny, I tried an earthwatts 430 last month and it displayed the problem discussed here.

Now I'm worried. I just ordered a 380w earthwatts for my asus m2a-vm.

Newegg has a $30 rebate , by the way - I will post my results!

It might work. I mean, it's worth a try. I've got my x1300 pro running at 27% fan speed. It's quiet and stable when gaming. Plus it's free!

Dont know about the brands listed, but the crucial ones make a racket! I've got the fan on my 1300pro at 40% and it's still the loudest thing in my system!

The g-force is too hot for what?

This would get my vote:

The AsRock AM2NF4g

and a seagate 7200.9 160 gig drive.

I recently built a system like this and have had great luck -

I've got a similar setup 2600 oc'd to 2.0 ghz in a bqe3700.
Ive hooked a zalman resistor to the stock amd hsf and it runs like a champ!
They cool pretty easily, those semprons.

x700 cooling

I've got a sapphire radeon x700 pci-x (non-pro) with an original arctic cooling vga cooler. I took it off a radeon 9600 pro, I was surprised it fit, but it did. Problem is, it clicks a bit (even when I stop the fan with my finger). Would a zalman blue northbrigde heatsink be enough for this? I could...

Great thanks. I think the beauty of this is that even though this thread had little response the next person who has a question about a l1a in that power supply will use the search function (hopefully) and see my experiences. Now I'm going to try to put a zalman resistor inline as it is by far the b...

OK - it's installed. It's quieter then the old zalman w/the resistor and seems to move more air.

l1a ok for trupower 380w single fan

Will it be enough to keep that p.s. running?

A panaflo L1a to replace the stock fan in an antec 380w single fan p.s..

I think I should probably run it at 12 volts,

Thanks

thanks

at 5% it shows 1800 and it's really quiet.

10% 2000 +/-

20% and up 2100rpm +/-

Maybe I'll get a panaflo l1a.

If I do, should I hook it up to the internal p/s connector (where the stock one was connected) or the m.b.?

speedfan at 5%?

Hi - I'm trying out speedfan to slow down my power supply fan. It a zalman 80mm wired right to a mb connector with a zalman reisitor inline. Still the noisiest fan by far in the system. My question is this. Speedfan doesnt have any noticable noise effect until I get it down to 5 or 10%. At 5% I can ...

It was the power supply fan . Easy swap though.

You can check by stopping the fan carefully with something non-conductive for a second or two.

did you get rid of that noisy northbridge cooler?

I put a zalman n.b. heatsink on mine and a flower hs on the cpu. The fan blows on both of them as they are so close together. I actually had to bend in a few of the fins on the cpu cooler to get it to fit. One fan to cool them all!
