Re: NZXT Source S340 Mid Tower
I hope one day they take it a step further and produce a microATX variant Indeed. It's a shame there's no damping on the 3.5 drive bays, as I like the clean look of this case. I did notice the black paint was scratched up pretty badly on the in store example I looked at, and other reviews mentioned...

That Mx2 is sexyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy:shock: Also seems to have quite a bit of potential, would love to see SPCR do a review about this case ! It appears the original is a Jonsbo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxs-VJQah9s Lots of vents on the bottom, but raised so it's easier to remove the filter. Th...

Re: Silverstone FT02/FT05 inspired, Apple Mac looking mATX t
Not sure why you'd need quite so many drive bays, but a nice idea. Anyhow, while it's not mATX, the Rosewill MX2 is aesthetically close if you're looking for a case along those lines: http://techreport.com/news/25924/latest-rosewill-cases-are-slick-aluminum-clad The Legacy U3 is mATX if you could de...

Re: Want to help Corsair build the best silent case ever?
70% of the people buying cases are buying standard ATX mid towers. Mini ITX and Micro ATX make up about 15% of the market, total. Full towers account for the other 15%. So that's why we're focusing so heavily on that spot - it's the one most people care about. It's also the one that's most heavily ...

Re: Seasonic G360W gold for $60 - Review & Giveaway!
Interesting. I've been pondering putting together a mini ITX build inside a Bitfenix Prodigy, and the 360W version looks like it'd fit the bill being only 140mm long. Shame it's not semi-modular though.

Toan - any update on this now that the Radeon 7000's have started showing up? I too have decided the Solo II isn't a good option for a upper mid-range video card (probably a 7870), so am looking at this, along with all-aluminium Lian-Li PC-6.

Re: Antec P280 or Fractal Desing R3 or Antec SOLO II for wor
I touch and upgrade my system offen but the finish on the SOLO II also shows dust which builds up fast not mention how easily it would scratch. I'll stick to the P280 or R3 I dislike SOLO II for more reason then just an awful fragile finish. The dust visibility is because of the glossy black finish...

Re: Upgrading from a 2007 build (Antec Solo)
Thanks for the advice, guys. I too feel that it's worth it - I'm completely happy with the rest of the case, and if I can get another 4-5 years out of it for €35, it's good value for money. Steve, I'm afraid I've thrown the buttons away a few months ago, when they broke. The connection point seemed...

When's the version in glossy white coming out? I don't want a fingerprint magnet or a case that shows every minute speck of dust.

The table at the top of page 1 has an incorrect price ($195) for the Phenom II. The table below has the correct price ($115).

The "used" aspect is key, as those don't have the scent or waxy coating.fumino wrote: its a fabric sheet that you toss in your dryer to reduce static cling, some are scented too.

For those intakes where a stock filter won't fit (e.g. above rear expansion slots, or an odd-sized hole), used dryer sheets will do the job.

A bit off topic, but if you, Haych, could provide any information about the noise level of the new 500 GB/platter WD Blue 1 TB (EALS), then it would be immensely appreciated. The old blue 640 gb was very popular thanks to its quiet operation, and it would be interesting to know whether the successo...

3. Add a cut out to the MB tray for heatsink mounting (like on the revised P183) 4. Add cable management behind the MB tray (again like the P183) along with the appropriate cable ports. 6. Make the case deeper so you can fit large video cards Those are the three changes I'd like to see. Aesthetics ...

Although the E8400 is not officially supported until the 0405 BIOS, the board will boot with it in the 0301 BIOS. Put the 0405 BIOS on a FAT32 formatted flash drive and you can flash it using the built-in utility. This process is described in the user manual. Also bear in mind that the 0405 BIOS wil...

Asus P5E-VM HDMI and disabling onboard sound
Has anyone with this board tried using a non-Creative PCI sound card and disabling the onboard sound with the v405 BIOS?
I've seen the board hang at "checking NVRAM" with an Audigy4, and have seen reports of the same behaviour with an X-Fi. Re-enabling the onboard sound in the BIOS fixes this.

That link you show points to an older revision of the AMD heatpipe cooler. The current revision holds an 80mm fan-- http://www.heatsinkoutlet.com/AMD-B.htm . You could keep the stock 80mm fan and undervolt it if it's too loud, or swap it out for something like the Nexus 80mm. Unfortunately, I forgo...

I'm waiting on the price cuts. I considered swapping the fan on the stock cooler, but it appears to take a 70mm fan , with no apparent way of fastening a larger/quieter one. I guess I could volt down the stock fan, or use a fanmate. Though Frostytechs 125W test shows the stock fan at low speed is st...
