You mean like this? http://www.techtastic.ca/articles/stealthdrive.html Exactly. That's even better, you still get to open it by hand. This case really is a marvelous product. Your contribution guarantees excellent noise performance, thank you for your great work. And the price Antec pulled with is...

I too would've loved the stealth bays, but the price certainly justifies their absence. However, wouldnt it be stupidly easy to mod the existing cover on top of an optical drive cover? One would just use a software to open and close the tray. You could simply glue the provided silver cover to your o...

Look for a postcript about an audiophile approach w/ an outboard DAC later on, perhaps tomorrow. Thanks, sounds excellent. That Linn of yours truly is beautiful :) A real classic, exuding dignity and grace, all thay way to the northern hemisphere through my TFT. I've come to know it requires quite ...

... bought a Squeezebox 2. Sure, it can't handle the DRMed music I consider that a positive feature. IMO it is always a very favorable practice to boycott the whole idea of DRM. You performed the testing solely using the on-board DAC, right? So it would be easy to improve the performance.

That's sad.. How can they screw up like that. Maybe it's the ultralow profile GPU heatsink that requires such fearsome blowing power from the fans? I'm assuming the fans are 60mm in diameter? Someone should port the insides into an HTPC case and maybe replace the GPU heatsink and redesign the ductin...

Sammy 710TM silent except for the built in speakers. Muting volume or detaching audiocable clears that out.

From what I hear Microsoft have made it a lot more difficult to hack, with lots of security features hard coded into the chips. So although nobody has said it can't be done, it won't be anything like as easy as chipping the Xbox1 or PS2. It's always the same thing with all DRMs. They're all supppos...

I'd really like to see someone tear that thing apart and put it in a computer case... somehow. I don't see much benefit to this, but it'd be cool. Watercooling for quiet? Yes that is an interesting idea. And I even see some beneficial aspects. One could mount the insides into an HTPC-case and stack...

Judging fromt eh anandtech pics, both the cpu and gpu heatsinks could be alot bigger, especially the gpu heatsink.. But i guess fans are cheaper than aluminium and some R&D. Well, I doubt they're that dumb at Microsoft. It's clearly a definite decision to use the ultralow-profile GPU heatsink since...

Questions about Antec SLK3000B (edit: 1 added)

I'm thinking of buying one. My two main problems concern the front door and side vents. - What is the best way of sealing the side vents from letting noise come through? Simple cardboard&tape will not do. And I wouldnt like to start welding. - Do they sell replaceable side panels without any holes? ...

I would like to see the review done by none of the concerned parties. I totally respect MikeC as a reviewer and my wish is in his and Antec's own interests: By making the review truly unbiased all gossiping and scheming by trolls, competitors etc would be greatly quietened down beforehand.

Honeycomb and square holing are both as efficient airflow-wise.

Round holes are the least efficient of these three choices.

There are no Shift, Tab or Backspace texts printed on the corresponding keys. Must be due to the fact that this is a Finnish/Swedish layout.

Prodigi FlatX

Hi! It seems that other companies are putting out the same keyboard as Logitech's UltraX. I bought a Prodigi FlatX keyboard from http://www.verkkokauppa.com/popups/prodinfo.php?id=16770 . That is a PC-hardware store called Verkkokauppa and is located in Finland. I went there to buy Logitech UltraX f...
