Re: SPCR Folds Team Blog

Me neither, no strange troubles luckily. Folding on two graphic cards again (460 gtx's), which is nice.

cordis; with your i7-980x - are you folding on all 12 cores or using -smp 11 ?

Re: SPCR Folds Team Blog

It might work, but you will be pushing the PSU close to the limit... The GTX 470 needs 6-pin PEG's x2, your PSU has one PEG. That can be fixed with some adapters so not that big of a deal. See if you can get them with the GFX card, they often get delivered with. Your VX 450 can deliver 33 A on the 1...

Re: SPCR Folds Team Blog

Grats! And you'll see a lot more 6811's coming; I have the feeling i've been folding them alone more or less since i got my GTX 460's. I was running two cards, but am now back to one GTX 460 alone. I can't maintain the noiselevel i crave from my computer with two of them folding project 6811....

Re: SPCR Folds Team Blog

Oh the GTX 460 is a Beaut'! I'm back on air-cooling (my pictures in signature are misleading now) Asus DirectCU-cooler; fan running at 1500 rpm at the moment gpu util=99% :D Clocks in at 800/1600/1000, could probably do more but i see no need to push it. Lovely chip and card! ~13500 ppd atm. I want ...

Wasn't aware of this new release; I might buy one! Going to read some reviews and hope the fan isn't a noisy one at full tilt.

How much memory did you assign to it? I've read some on this and you probably need to assign 1024 Mb of memory to keep it from running out. Try that and see what happens. I was running the VM with 1024 MB, so that wasn't the issue. A shame really, using one VirtualBox alone for smp 8 would have bee...

Sun VirtualBox with Arch Linux x64 is a new setup on my end, i was using notfred's up until i stumbled upon this guide . But! I've been having some issues with it now, it's not 100%. It tends to "freeze" once a day, so when i'm coming home from work and notice, many hours has been lost on the CPU-fo...

I'm folding on Win7 x64, works fine.

Using Sun VirtualBox with Arch Linux x64 (SMP 8) inside, and two normal gpu console clients. As I did on Vista x64.

Haven't come over any problems with this setup.
