Re: Ideas to mount old Ninja 775 on 1155 with custom backpla

Ok, so here's the story. What you need (apart from a 1155/1156 board and the original Ninja SCNJ-1000) is a backplate, such as one found in the Noctua NM-I3 SecuFirm2™ Mounting-Kit and a cutting tool. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who contributed info on this thread. In particular, kater's ...

Also, I assume DDR2 ram can pump out about 250 megs/sec no problem right?
You can fill as many slots as you want.

It runs on regular DDR

EDIT: oops, the first i-ram does. I haven't tried the i-Ram 2.

paris, Here's a snippet from the mcubed site: > Fans: My Papst fan 4412 runs up and down? which defers the tacho signal. With a PWM frequence over 100 the tacho signal will get lost. Please set the PWM frequence under 100 (optimal between 80 and 85) and it runs stable with tacho signal. In my person...

parisjohan, Don't buy a 4412FGL for a tbalancer! The papsts are notoriously noisy as far as vibration goes. While they're good fans, they just don't seem to work as well with the t-balancer, even with the attenuation modules. IMHO, Nexus 120's are much better suited for a t-balancer. In fact, I thin...

Yup, the stock front fan is a 4-pin molex and the rear stock ADDA is a 3 pin fan.

The t-balancer works best with 3 pin connectors.

Yogai, I think you might be missing the point of the C3 boards. From my understanding, VIA never meant to target any sort of performance sector. They're just offering machines that are cheap and easy to deploy. Processing power has become a commodity which ultimately means it's extraordinarily easy ...

for your applications, I would recommend running at least an m10000. I'm using the m10000 right now in my car, and for day to day tasks, it's barely sufficient. If you do a search on mp3car.com for m6000, i'm sure you'll see a lot of mixed feedback. Frankly, I haven't tried the m6000, but from what ...

I'd recommend the nexus 120 for noise, not sure if it moves enough air for you though. Out of the fans I've tried, Nexus has the best noise/CFM ratio out of papst, nexus, globe and adda.

Check the 120mm sticky in the forums for more details.
