IF you go diggind on the site you will notice that the newline seems to be the old line, but with all the "fixes" http://www.lian-li.com/product.htm BTW I think that the biggest improvement was the removing of the grating for the back exhaust fan. This alone made the case quieter and because the air...

That would be (2x1gb) or (2x1024MB) or (128Meg x 64) Now this is a big IF, but IF there was a MB and Memory that supports 4x512 but still a...

Thanks for the Review; the rails I am talking about are these ones, http://www.silentpcreview.com/files/images/lianli-v2000/casesidepanel.jpg I am also planning to add a thin rubber gasket to the outside to prevent the metal on metal rubbing. Also on the question of fan on video cards. Does anyone h...

Thanks for the info. Yeah I am thinking that having the main exhaust fan going over the heat sink will be more then enough to keep the system cool, with only a single fan working for both, unlike you current rig with a fan on the CPU and one on the case right next to each other. As for the audio, I ...

Here is what I found out for my system, if I left the back fan exhausting out, my case temperature was lower, but my CPU temperature was higher. However if I reversed the fan, my CPU temperature was about 5C lower, but my average case temperature went up by 2-3C. Now what you can do, and what I am p...

Good thing you mentioned that “every flat surface will be damped” other wise will all those tunnels it might increase the noise do to wave re-enforcement, same principle in all brass instruments and the Bose Wave radio. The only concern that I would have is that you may have too many twists and turn...

Just a quick update w/ my V1000. Since the Seagate seeking noise wasn't alleviated by drive suspension, I ended up selling the drive in favor of a samsung spinpoint. Thankfully, I got one w/ a nidec motor, and it has been absolutely silent. The Seagate it replaced was about as quiet as a freight tr...

teejay, how is the "hum" and overall noise on this case. I am looking into purchasing a new case for a quite system, but I still want to keep a full tower. Reading the board it sounds like this case is good, but needs some upfront modifications, like cutting out the stamped exhaust holes in the back...

It is my understanding that the majority of the humming from steal or aluminum comes form the hard drives. If so with some clever modifications like drive suspension

that I could eliminate the problem.

Help with Case Selection
I am trying to find a case for a system that I am going to build with the new month or too, but I am having trouble finding one it like. I have read some of the personal opinions on a lot of the cases I like later on in the thread, and everyone seems to have some sort of issue with all of them. The ...
