Should they be working?

They should. My Papst and ADDA fans do that.

That website said: Notes: (1) To reduce the noise level from this fan, please add a 12-to-7 volt adapter

You've tried that?

Maybe Asus have fixed the problem with their calibration. Their boards mostly reports CPU temps 10C too low.

You can buy a Lian-Li like this: http://www.microplex.no/rubweb/varer.asp?ARTNR=MF30G

It's called MF20G and MF30G.

Here is a picture of it in use:

It will lower your HD's. Don't know about the noise with that hard disk case though.

Thanks for the tip. Gonna buy rubber sticks if i'm gonna go for it. Maybe i just buy a fanadapter to try it out. I can always sell the adapter and the 120mm fan to someone if it don't work. I guess the airflow would not be as good with the 80 -> 120 adapter, as Morpheusman says. I wish i could buy s...

I've got the Coolermaster Aerogate 1 with a 92mm Papst and two 80mm ADDA fans. They work great. None of the fans have a sensor wire!

The Papst 8412N2GL, 33m³/hour, 12 dB(A) is a good choice. It's not close to 12 dB, but it pushes some air. Why don't you buy a fan controller so you can control the speed and find the right place between noise and good cooling?

*Bump*

To make it easy. Have anyone tried a fanadapter made out of plastic?

Will it make a lot of resonance/noise with a 120mm fan on top of it?

The fanadapter looks like this:

Ok. Thanks for the info burcakb. I'm learning! I guess Mist got those fans coustom made by Noiseblocker. I'm gonna replace my old ADDA fans that came with my Lian-Li PC6070A (The two in front), and i just need a little bit of airflow over the hardisks. I think the Nexus is just the right fans for th...

They look like the Noiseblocker's to me. Fairly popular on your side of the pond, but my only first hand experience with them was disappointing. I think you are absolutely right about that! I did a quick google image seek, and even the package of the Mist fan looks like the Noiseblocker one. Guess ...

They customize heatsinks and PSU's and they have now released some fan's. What i want to know is what company do you think have made these new Fans? Here is ...

Help me improve my silent system. 92mm -> 120mm fan.

I've got the Swiftech MCX478V with a 92mm Papst 3412NGM, 72m³/time, 28 dB(A) Cooling a P4 Northwood 3.0 Ghz @ 3.6 Ghz at a Abit IC7-G mobo. I'm kind of happy with this. ...But I want to improve my system. What i was thinking about was buying a fan-adapter like this: http://www.microplex.no/rubweb/va...
