As far as I know the 48x0 series is capable of outputting these formats as downsampled PCM after they have been decoded, but not bitstreaming. I cite the many posts on AVS forum in my support, as they seemed pretty sure it could not do it (this is why there is a 150 page thread in support of the HD...

Why not any Cooler Master reviews ?

These PS are now very popular, and I'm very curios to know something more, especially about the Silent Pro series

I'm a little perplexed about the HDD cooling in this case, the soft, rubber mount isolates the HD from the case, good for the noise/vibration, but very bad for the heat, is there any fan or whatsoever to cool down the HDDs ?

beware on setting at 5v or 7v the stock fan, on heavy tasks the cooling won't be enough.
I won't go under 9v

sorry but it's not the way you've described I have installed XP on many different P/G965 MBs, you do not need any IDE driver to install XP, but you need the AHCI driver if the HDD (SATA) are configured so in the BIOS, otherwise if the HDD is set to IDE compatibility you won't need any driver at all ...

WD SE16 WD4000KS loud !

Just to report that the 400GB model of the SE16 line is NOT quiet as the 500GB model (actually I never heard the 500GB, but SPCR docet...). AFAIK all mobo fan headers use PWM, and so did yours unless you used 12 V only.

yes, I would care only about the max temp, if using the stock cooler the temp is around 70°, with a Ninja it should be some deg below

:)

P.S. obviously with a different MB you'll get a different read

P.P.S. using TAT AND Orthos, the max temp is 72°

Please use TAT to find out your maximum temp:

MSI NX7600GT-T2D256EZ, will fit on an Intel DG965WH ?

I was wondering if the heatsink on the back of the card will collide with the big heatsink of the NB.

HERE there's a review of the card on an Intel D975XBX, I can't read German but it seems to collide.

Some direct experience ?

How can I read rpms at 7v ?

I have a simple adapter from 12v to 7v, it even has the third wire for techimeter reading but..., I can't read the rpms of any fans on any MB. I was thinking that the 12v to 7v adapter using the black wire (ground) to get the 5v (+12 + 5 = 7), can't provide the ground for the tachimeter reading. Sor...
