S3 standby and psu fan off? or on?

In my DIY HTPC I have a 200W Fortron mATX PSU. I've replaced the PSUs 60mm LOUD fan with a quiet 80mm fan which I'm powering from one of the fan headers on the motherboard. When my comp enters S3 standby all fans connected to mobo headers turn off, right? And fans connected to molex connectors spin ...

Vintage cooler question (Thermalright AX7)

I've been building a HTPC project on a budget with second hand parts. I've got a XP-M 2400 1.45V and a Glacialtech SilentBreeze II with a "17dB"/1900rpm 80mm nanometer ceramic bearing fan (made by Globalwin I think but sold here in Finland as Liebermann) I could get a Thermalright AX7 for very low p...

You didn't read the forum thread link?
Its probably 60DB on 24V. Other 4114 series fans on papst site are 65db on 24V. The guy whos selling them has tested them running on 7V and 5V. So I was thinking they'd be perhaps quiet enough for me on 5V and still with a decent CFM?

Sorry I didnt take any pics of the fan mod but i did it like others have done it, theres couple of good threads about it here somewhere (going to sleep too tired to search for them for you). Connecting VF700s fan to X800GTO2 fan connector??

Can I connect the wires from the VF700s fan to the X800GTO2 fan connector (small 3-pin)? I was thinking of cutting the wires from the stock cooler and soldering the connector to the VF700 fan.The reason for this is that I would like to adjust the fan speed with Atitool (more options than 5V/12V and ...

Is there any way to mount Thermalright SI-97 (NOT si-97a) on socket 939 cpus? Im thinking of upgrading my comp with a new mobo and cpu. Im planning to get an amd64 socket 939 cpu to replace my axp3000+ but I'd really like to continue using my existing si-97.
