Re: Prolimatech MK-26 Multi-VGA Cooler

I have this little contraption from Powercolor. Sure, it costs a little bit of money, but stays out of the way once set up.

Aside from the difficulty accessing the screws, has anybody gotten this heatsink to work with Thermalright's bolt-thru kit? The bad mounting (more so the lack of slots to fit a screwdriver) really is a significant turn-off for me.

One of Rosewill's cases, this (also available in white !) one in particular is of interest. It seems to be extremely similar to Antec's popular SLK3000B , minus the re-inforcing brace that runs underneath the PSU bay. Two 120mm fans with a closed front panel that should prevent noise from getting ou...

The Sonata II came with the SmartPower 2.0 450W which wasn't known for being quiet nor reliable. Quite disappointing overall, to be honest. This Sonata III looks much nicer, especially with the EA-500 (a Seasonic design). I spy silicone mounts for the rear fan.

The Indel DG965WH has it, along with a lot of other Intel 965 based motherboards. 965G graphics in a full ATX form factor.

The stock power supply can handle that system. It can handle 22.5A on the 12V rail. The video card can use 10A and the cpu uses 5-6A. That leaves you with 6.5 amps left over which is plenty for the motherboard and other stuff. It cannot handle Crossfire but that is not what you are doing anyways. T...

It's probably a NeoHE with components tweaked to pass 80 Plus and compliant with the latest EU environmental regulations (like RoHC, etc.) -- which all Seasonic-made units would be by now anyway. But it doesn't have the same heatsinks as the NeoHE. From the picture Antec has provided , you can see ...

Antec EarthWatts

http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=27430

- 80PLUS Certified
- Single 80mm fan + very open rear panel
- Active PFC
- It is definitely a Seasonic, judging from the rear panel picture

Seems very similar to the TruePower Trio, other than the different fan, and the 80PLUS certification.

VT50WA , the front intakes are not filtered, which surprises me a little bit. The older SLK3000B even comes with a basic mesh filter. omgy , mounting the hard drives lower means my IDE ribbons have to travel farther... My Seagate in a Coolermaster Centurion. Reduced vibration, but didn't reduce noise because the front bezel was so open. Increased temperatures too. I didn't trust this method for long-term use, so eventually I ditched suspension and bought a new case, in which I reviewed here . http://www.thequietre...

Quick Antec NSK6500 build [56K]

Like many, I was interested in the new SOLO case that Antec was releasing. My reasons? - I liked the way it looked - It seemed like a good platform for the future (low-noise, good breathability, etc.) - It is relatively cheap - A PSU is not included Anyway, I wanted to replace my aging Coolermaster ...

It's really hard to tell short of opening the thing up. Things are packed densely inside, and the rear panel isn't as open as it is on the NeoHE. It's just like the SU-380 that SPCR reviewed a while back.

I don't think you can fit 120mm fans... but I haven't tried, so you never know.

I have. The included SU-430 PSU is a Seasonic design -- the insides look pretty much identical to the NeoHE, minus the modular design, slightly different +12V distribution, and the gunmetal casing. It is quite a quiet case (easily the quietest I've ever built, but may still be noisy to you freaks), ...

They're the same as the CM Centurion 5xx cases. I have one. The front bezel lets out a lot of noise, and there isn't very much room for wire management because I've got my hard disks suspended in the 5.25" bays. I am going to sell it off soon for an Antec Solo, whenever those come in.
