i plan to go sli and this unit is more effective and quieter than my current one. I have only a few experiences hard drive wise, maxtor seagate and wd are what I have personal experience with and WD has been rock solid and in fact I am replacing a 8 year old WD with the new one. I hated maxtor and s...

how much of a heat difference would there be between an E8200 vs a 7750? still $100 cheaper with amd.... might switch between either one of the two since they are both priced right but as soon as I check out a few more reviews between the two units i will decide since I am going to mate a 9800gtx+ w...

I recall the i7's being quite warm chips. Phenom's are also supposedly warm, as well, compared to 45nm C2D stuff. I would consider a 45nm Core2 E8XXX or E7XXX.. both of these would have plenty of power for encoding, gaming, etc, and run cool. Motherboard for these are inexpensive [good ones are eas...

A64 939 Motherboard suggestions
So I just transfered my old system to a new case and ready to upgrade to PCI-E. I was looking into a few motherboards and keep finding to my dislike that there are a lot of 2 pci slot boards vs 3 slot. With this I have been left with a few boards so far to choice from: DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Exp...

Thanks Kater for the post! Since I am currently on a single core unit and don't over clock I guess I can go with passive cooling to start with and see how that goes. As for the front, I will have to see how my two HDD's line up with just one 92mm fan before I consider a second one. Might even try tw...

After some consideration I changed my order and went ahead and got a Solo and a Seasonic s12 550(energy plus) and a seagate 320gig hdd. Looked thru some threads and ran into a couple of questions 1) with two nexus 92mm fans up front will i run into issue in terms of airflow disruption (turbulence) w...

I have a P150 on its way for my new build and started to become intrested in updating my main board and graphics card. I am considering a 7900GTS or maybe a 8 series graphics card. with two hard drives at the moment and possibly two 5" drives will i exceed the psu's capibility? thanks for your time ...

3200 _> 3800 in need of some more advice please
Hello, Well I just placed on order via a retailer for a new 3800 AMD 64 939 flavor. My reason for the upgrade is that the current 3200 is bottlenecking my GPU(BFG 6600GT) that pushes onto my 27inch viewsonic. But I need a better than OEM cooler for the new chip(Its about time). I know part of my pro...

found it!! http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-pp02.htm One over the psu and see if I can place another one/two on the top *for the two exhaust fans located up there*. Hopefully with some moding I might be able to replicate the one that fits naturally over the psu onto the others... or something ...

That reply just set me up and over for the p180 :) 530 has like said great intake but no way to contain the noise from it. sonata 2's intake wont cut it in keeping as cool as a p180 as I did a search and found temps in the p180 to be cooler than a sonata 2. I live in arizona where the summers are ex...
