Re: AMD FX-8350 CPU: Piledriver Arrives
No discussion at all??? I at least expected someone to bring up how SPCRs numbers for power consumption don't quite match most of the other industry reviews..

Re: Lan-Gear BETA mITX build
The top is a Gentle Typhoon at 1200rpm, and it's supposed to be controlled by the motherboard, but no matter what I try, this board wont adjust it's speed. This probably means that the motherboard sets some minimum speed at boot, and never has to ramp it up according to its sensors. So it looks stu...

Re: Lan-Gear BETA mITX build
Here, have some circuit board to go with your fans. :P haha..no in all honesty I like this build a lot. And it does have the potential to be somewhat quiet because those fans can be turned down so low and still move a decent amount of air. I'm a fan. (ok i swear that was my last fan joke) It is a l...

Lan-Gear BETA mITX build
I've got lots of pictures. I'll post the specs, then the pics, and a link to the thread over at Harforum for the case. I made a lot of posts there, not sure I want to go through the headache of quoting it all or finding links to individual posts... anyway, specs!: -Intel i5-750 @ 3.2ghz(160bclk) 1.1...

Well that case is only out to a selected few for beta testing. Im really looking forward to the retail release. Ill probably get one on the first day. My comment refers to the whole brand -- hardly any resellers at all. They've only been around since the beginning of the year, hopefully they'll gai...

Remove the 180 mm fan, and use a tower heatsink with a 120 mm fan in front of it, make a hole in the back, and a duct between the back and the HS. I wonder how that would affect CPU cooling and noise. I was thinking this too when I first saw this case, but now I like the idea of top down, with side...

A 2x2GB kit of SODIMM DDR3 costs $99 A 2x2GB kit of DIMM DDR3 costs $95 (Going by newgg prices) ...the difference is negligible. With regards to "fewer options", compromises often have to be made when creating small form factor computers. That said, it's not like the available SODIMMs are bad eithe...

SO-DIMM again... I don't know what the grunt about SO-DIMM is, aren't they more power efficient and similarly priced, with a form factor possibly allowing more than 2 slots on a mini-itx motherboard? If anything I think sata 6gbps vs sata 3gbps is much more important than the difference in ram as m...

Great review, about time we had one, though, considering availability, it makes sense that we haven't. I contacted Enermax back pre-april, and they told me the modu87's would hit newegg by mid-april. Well, there's only one available on newegg, the 800W...$250. So, I got an x-650 instead. Not sure ho...

I am genuinely impressed. I didn't think I'd see the day when an AMD processor appealed to me more than an Intel one ever again. ryboto - you think that PicoPSU I got from you could handle one of these bad boys (undervolted and maybe with a couple cores locked)? Hmm...might be pushing it, tho...
