Well heck... I'll have to keep an eye out for anything happening to ya. Dunno if ya remember years ago when I played planet Guinness? Well, similar this time around; Newcastle, of Broonale. ;) Are you at least part of an Alliance? I could see about inviting you over to the group I'm with (and have b...

Hmm... I was wondering if there was any activity left over here.

I just got back into SR this round. Been out for... well... a couple years I guess.

Decided that I needed to look up ol' Rusty and see if he was still playing or not. 8)

is this officially the longest SPCR thread yet? It is for the folding forum... but zyzzyxs' 'What are you listening to now' holds the record for SPCR.D Hey! I resemble that remark! 8) As for me and Folding, I unfortunately stopped quite awhile ago. Beginning of this last summer when it was ge...

120V AC squirrel cage fan needed for fireplace 'heatilator'

This isn't exactly computer related, but I figured that coming back here would likely be a good source of knowledge for this search. I'm looking to get more heat out of the generic fake-log propane fireplace insert that we have in the living room. I plan to construct some tubing to loop around and o...

This thread of mine is still going! With plenty of help from Ralf Hutter, I see. ;)

Well, since I'm popping in, gotta stay on topic:

I've thought about F@H and Wine, but haven't looked into whether that can run as a 'service' (durn Windows terms) or not, but I doubt it. Yeah, I'm always logged into the system, but its nice not having to click anything to get FAH going, or to know that its going if I reboot and walk away. Regardin...

Well, didn't do much Folding over the summer, got too durn warm in here. But, now that its cooling off a bit, I've got all four systems going at it again. Last I checked, was at 175ppd. Well, I say four systems, and that's true, but its probably more like the output of 1 1/2 new systems. AMD XP-M @ ...

I turned my folding off around the first of the month, was too darn hot here as well. We've A/C in the house, but this room was still much warmer than the rest. Not worth it at the time. Still had all three system on, just not Folding. Made a difference. Probably won't be firing them back up until e...

Back to three Folders, hopefully back to 200PPD

Dug out my old backup system, the wee little HP eVectra, a P3-566. Its not much, but it should add just enough that I can get to, and stay at, 200PPD.

I might even toss the screensaver on my parent's system. Dunno.

I'd recommend sending a PM to folks in the upper ranks that haven't turned in a WU in a while. Neil, I know you sent me a PM sometime last year regarding the same subject. It got me Folding again. I'd stopped for some reason, and just hadn't remembered to set it up again. Worked for me, fair chance ...

For my two functional systems, I went for silence first (OK, I did overclock my XP-M, but its still using a 5v fan). Once they're silent, then I run F@H as a bonus. Should the chance come that I could build a small folding farm (say, 6 node) I would still concentrate on silence first. Well, maybe. I...

Well, got bored tonight. Pulled down FAHM&F and checked it out. Interesting. Very clean. It is showing my main system as a negative PPD, but because it predicted that I should be finished by now. Should grab a new WU overnight, see how it looks tomorrow.

Now to look at other monitor goodies.

I've played the T'Chopt'Ka twice before. That 7% from the Plating Factory doesn't sound like much, but its noticeable. You can get some GREAT durability on stuff, and then their special ability boosts durability even further. And I loved their Tortoise Battleship instead of Dreadnoughts, very effect...
