FWIW in my experience the TV-out quality from Nvidia cards has always been worse than that of ATI-based ones when using svideo or composite. I would try with an ATI-based card just to check if that would make any difference - from what you are saying your earlier projects have been with ATI cards. O...

rpsgc, relax and smile .. :-)

Shadowknight wrote "Assuming they are accurate" just to make a point of it, he could just as well have written "even if they were accurate" or something somesuch. Of course he had read what you wrote, so lets all get back on topic instead.

Saying USB wireless is no good is like saying my server can't be good because its not in a Dell rack. Try some of the other USB wireless models before blaming the interface. You need to experiment with AP / client combinations unless you know the charactheristics of all wireless chipsets by memory. ...

NY Times article about fan noise cancellation

The NY Times (noless) posted an article today about a professor and his students working on a project trying to reduce fan noise: Dr. Sommerfeldt's system has four miniature speakers and four even tinier microphones set in a ring around the computer fan. The microphones and other sensors detect the ...

8rdavcore undervolting util: More mainboards supported

Thought I should mention that the 8rdavcore util ( original thread ) now supports more mainboards:

This is good news .. an amazingly solid and useful util. If you have one of the boards mentioned you should try it out.

a solution using the cdrom drive for almost all cases ..

Some tips if you have a bootable atapi cd/dvd drive (as most of us do, I would guess) * Using Nero you can easily create a 'boot floppy' with the create bootable cd feature. Switch the floppy image used for emulation to whatever boot floppy image you want to boot. * Problem is sometimes you do not h...

I made a simple walkthrough earlier, its posted once before in this thread. Not a batch file specific walkthrough, but it might help you out a bit with the program.

I have tried this program out on my NF7-M board, and it works great. Is it possible to let the program change the multiplier setting as well? In the words of hasw .. This multiplier registers are outputs...so they are used. But changing this on runtime it does not change something. I think the mult...

I think it would be polite to inform the other sites like 'friendly stranger' informed us, and leave it at that. When informing them make sure to point them to this thread and also explain how you handled it, who you emailed and so on. If those sponsors and affiliated companies care about their repu...

If I set it to 9.5*100 at BIOS, I can underclock to 9.5*50 which is COOL, but I cannot clock it back up to 200Mhz. Any ideas??? Hm. My guess would be that it has something to do with the memory speed settings in bios. I'm not sure how the NF7 are about this but with my 8rda+ it only works if I put ...

Ok as you may have noticed I made this small usage guide, it expanded from being just my own notes to becoming almost useful.

I was going to post it right in this thread but somehow I managed to push the new topic button instead of reply
