Don't know if that's such a good idea. I remeber when installing my ZM-80C the instuctions said to be careful not to bend the heatpipe.

Yes you can do that no problem. Remove the fan mate and connect red to red and black to black. You might need an adapter to this unless you're good at wiring stuff. You could then also connect the spare white wire to the motherboard to monitor rpm (that is what the white is for), just make sure you ...

Best cooler for X850XT - Zalman or Arctic Cooling?

This question has probably been asked a number of times....all the more reason to get a quick response then :D What's the best cooler for a X850XT? These are the candidates: 1) Zalman VF700-CU Only 90 grams more the ALCU version. Cheapest. 2) Zalman FS-V7 Anodized which will prevent oxidation. I liv...

mmm....I looked at that when i read the review, but they merely have the fan speed on "high". There is no indication of rpm. And the considering the AM2 version put out 3dB more than the standard one, it may well be spinning faster. Anyway a 0.8'C decrease is nothing to shout about.

I think it would make the heatsink too tall, and would interfere with the side panels of smaller cases.

Yeah well it's nVidia's colours so they sort of have to use green.

They're supposed to be releasing a 110mm version soon, dubbed the CNPS9700.

Is there anything i can spray on the screws and bolts (they're rusting too) to prevent rust?

Zalman Heatsink Oxidizing

Hi everyone, My 7000Al-Cu has unfortunately started to oxidize - white flakes on the aluminium and green stuff on the copper. I tried scraping off the green but it just a left behind the orange-y pinky colour seen below. Any ideas as to how i clean it? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v717/fogeshan...
