Re: Intel Next Unit of Computing Kit DC3217BY

Except that it does. USB3 controllers support USB2 devices, but that doesn't imply USB3 controllers can be 'driven' by USB2 drivers.

There's ITX too. Unfortunately lots of cases waste way too much space on drive bays.

Coil whine is still an issue and turning off fans might not work on every model.

Re: bequiet! Dark Power Pro 10 550W Power Supply

What motherboard are you using? Are you sure it's the PSU and not the motherboard? I've got coil whine from my motherboard with a Pentium G620 on an Asus H61 board with a BQ Straight Power 400W. I've also got coil whine from a Sapphire Radeon 7950 on an Asus Z77 board with an Antec PSU. I guess I sh...

I've got a monitor with two inputs and have been considering the same thing. Fans of my Sapphire Radeon 7950 950mhz edition won't turn off though. :(

What fan controls does the MSI support? The 3570K might be easy to cool, I've also got a Radeon 7950. Controlling up to 3 case fans (2 intake, 1 exhaust) would be nice.

High-quality but simple Z77 board for 3570K

My Q9450 / P45 system is still broken and my G620 / H61 system is too slow for new games (CARS, BF3), so I'm looking for an update. The 3570K CPU is a no-brainer, but what's the 'best' motherboard for me? I've got a Radeon 7950 and a X-Fi (PCI). PCI (and the X-Fi) might be problematic, so it's not a...

Certainly, if there are any issues with the quality of the AC line* or interference from other equipment or appliances running off the AC circuits, if any of the components in the system are less tolerant of variations in the 12VDC (and other) lines. Ditto when the PSU is pushed close to its limits...

Re: Seasonic G360W gold for $60 - Review & Giveaway!

It's an issue because you can't use cards like the 660 with this PSU without a splitter cable which is not ideal. The 660 is a good example as it has only a 130W TDP yet includes a 2x6-pin connectors. These in addition to the PCI-E slot could supply 225W in total. 1 connector would be sufficient bu...

Re: Seasonic G360W gold for $60 - Review & Giveaway!

The X-400 only comes with a single 6-pin connector as well. You don't really see more in this power bracket, even if we do know that they can supply that level of power. My 400W PSU (Be Quiet) has 1x 6 + 1x 8. Part of the issue is that graphics card makers are actually overspeccing the connectors t...

There is only one graphics card power connector, which is appropriate for the G360's power rating.
Is it? I'd expect at least two PEG connectors. Just one doesn't make a lot of sense.
