Holy Phantom350 Batman!!!

Wow - all i can say is wow. This was my first dive into the silent pc world (reserator is on its way, though  ). The difference off of a performance power supply is astounding!!! The OCZ Modstream is said to be quieter than the average high-power PSU - if thats true, I dont want to know what l...

Multiple HDD Noise

Im not going to be bothered to find it, but I read here that 2 identical fans running at the same time put out no more than 3dba more than a singleton. That being said, does the same apply to HDDs? Before I finalize my rig, id like to know if 2 single-platter 2.5'' Samsungs will be louder or quieter...

hope its not to late to shed some light, but that case is dreadful in low-light conditions, as I assume your bedroom would be the LED on the power button is REALLY bright - and if this comp is going to be on 24/7, youll either need to solder in a higher-ohm resistor, or put a bean-bag in front of it...

I can't believe no one here plays games... For those that do, RAID 0 is a godsend for game load times. In multiplayer games where you may start running around as soon as the level as loaded for you, RAID 0 is even more of a godsend. And I'm not concerned about hard drive failure, sure it's double t...

How feasable would it be to get a 2-4 drive sata enclosure and stick it in a desk cabinet? the cages of all the models ive looked at have miniature fans that look as if theyll whine quite a bit. but i figure if i keep the cabinet closed and line the bottom with carpet for vibration's sake, i should ...

thought they had some other, even more obscene chemicals that would not freeze until -100C, so people were sticking phase changer heads INTO the liquid to cool it down.

Not at all - the GO versions always have fewer pipes than the desktop series - look at the 6800 Ultra GO, for example - 12 pipes.

Well, Im interested. What kind of gains can be expected with 7200 over 5400? What kind of data connector do these use (same as a desktop SATA connection or not)? Is the power-connection done by the same manner as a 2.5'' IDE? How does the noise/heat output compare to a 2.5'' IDE or a 3.5'' SATA? Was...

Why is that, out of curiosity? Does the vegetable oil undergo saponification...
