I have a WD 500GB in the bottom chamber with a HX-520 but no fan. 42-45, which seems reasonable enough, so I probably don't need an extra fan (although later on I can add a fanmated YL if need be) EDIT; wow, this has gone off-topic. bottom line: if you take out the middle cage, you should be able to...

Generally Dell PCs are quieter than a poorly planned system and will be near SPCR quality at idle but the fan control will ramp up all the fans VERY QUICKLY. They're pretty quiet at idle, yes. Once, I turned it on with the door opened, it gave me a chassis intrusion warning, and immediately ramped ...

I have a Q6600 - S-FLEX SFF21E is my fan. D12SL-12s actually aren't really quiet enough for me. If you add a zalman fanmate, it should be okay.

oscar3d, got some interesting results :P seems like when i stop the middle fan, cpu temps go down about ~3 degrees while GPU temp goes up 3-5 degrees. So it's a minor difference - but one less fan = less noise  New Pictures Got some free time to really get artistic with my photos. http://i235.p...

I have a question for you and other members reading the forum... What was your thinking behind the decision to mount the upper chamber front fan on the drive cage, rather than removing the cage and mounting it right at the front case opening? Was it to ensure air flow directly over the Gigabyte gfx...

New Corsair CMPSU-550VX... not by Seasonic!
Recently released, available at NCIX.com.
As proven on the forums, these are not in fact built by Seasonic, but by CWT. Not sure what this means for silent enthusiasts.

Hey oscar3d, good job on all that research - although I'm not quite sure what you are suggesting that I try. Do you truly think that If I remove that middle hard drive cage fan my temps will improve? I've already removed the rubber watercooling hole covers. I'm open to tweaking here - feel free to p...

Having the fans at 12v just means that they're running at their normal speed. The Tricool is on 'low', so I'd assume that isn't 12V. The YL actually is slower on the 4-pin SYS_FAN2 than on the 3-pin PWR_FAN header. I'd assume that isn't 12V either. TAT only stresses the first two cores - I think it...

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E on Ultra-120 Tricool Exhaust -low- plugged to molex YL D12SL-12 middle fan plugged into SYS_FAN2 4-pin header Don't know much about voltages, actually  The first post mentions that the Zalman fanmates ar...

To sum up what angelkiller said: 1. Have you checked out the Antec Solo case? 2. I know this isn't what angelkiller said, but you may wish take a look at the GA-P35-DS3R - which I'm using right now - and am finding to be a very good overclocker with great stability. 3. E4300 = good. 4. Thermalright ...

For MoJo: http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee116/konnetikut/spcr%20build/loadtemp.jpg I think that my temps seems pretty standard - how did you apply your TIM? What did you use? EDIT : did a quick search on your posts - seems you've been asked this question already. In that case....I have no idea....

You might want to reconsider the P35C-DS3R...maybe get the non-C P35-DS3R. There seems to be a great deal of problems with the board (including boot up cycle issues). Honestly, by the time DDR3 becomes mainstream and you want to get some, you'll probably be getting a new [silent] computer with SSDs ...
