Re: Fan Roundup #6: Scythe, Noiseblocker, Antec, Nexus, Ther

There is one fan that i would really like to see tested because of its special purpose as intake fan and that is the Silverstone Air Penetrator. Its focused flow fan should be great for pushing air specifically across hdd bays or pushing out hot air from GPU into the PCI brackets. I have this fan at...

Re: Nzxt H2, there is still work to be done...

The best thing would be to have two 12 CM PWM fans blowing air on the S1. You would need the PWM adapter - http://www.quietpc.com/products/casefanaccessories/gel-pwm-vga-cable and the PWM splitter - http://www.quietpc.com/products/casefanaccessories/gel-pwm-cable After you connect both fans to the ...

Re: Nzxt H2, there is still work to be done...

You should add another fan to the s1. Inspiration here - http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=64355 8) Thank you for the tip. I might actually do this because i might buy Noctua PWM fan on ebay. Then i will have another NF-P12 free so might as well use it. Do i suck out the air...

Antec did good on the P18x series but oh boy they fucked up now. Talk about not know what your customers like. They were problably just lucky with the P18x series considering what they spit out this time.

Very nice of WD but in my opinion since you dont need a system drive to be more then 50-70gb at the most you might as well wait a year for SSDs to get below $100. SSDs wont cost much in a year or so... reason computer stuff have crappy second hand value is because the new stuff arent getting more ex...

hmm... i guess i will try with better ram sinks AND zip tying a fan directly on the GPU... if that still doesent fix it i guess i just threw away a $200 card because i thought i was gonna be able to have the cake and eat it as well (cooler without more sound).

Accelero S1 on 9600GT... went horribly wrong.

I cant belive my luck. I bought a Accelero S1 to replace the HSF on my VGA card(Gainward Geforce 9600GT) and it seems i wont be able to fit it onto the GPU chip because of interference from the back of one of the DVI outputs. This GPU has 2xDVI,1xDP,1xHDMI so it becomes pretty crowded when it comes ...
