Re: Corsair 550D I5 3570K Asus GTX670

I didn't test the stock fans sadly :( went right away to the scythe ones. Well like I said my assembly table is not a "silent room" so I have to listen closely when I assemble and test with prime/furmark etc. But yea at 300/400 RPM the GPU is slightly more tonal then the fans, though when I prime sm...

Re: Corsair 550D I5 3570K Asus GTX670

Theres still some things I wanna do better before I start sleeving everything : Since I work at a PC store I can easily swap some stuff without needing to pay for everything. The current PWM slipstreams tend to tick a little especially since they run so slow 300/400 IDLE 600max at full load prime. I...

Corsair 550D I5 3570K Asus GTX670

I am currently building this system, its not fully done yet but heres the first pic. I am using 3570K, noctua NH-u12pse with scythe PWM fan, as exhaust also a scythe pwm fan on the OPT cpu fan header. Still have to decide what intake fans I will use. The gfx card is the Asus GTX670. All I can say wo...

Re: Antec P183 v3 Ivy Bridge upgrade

You can do all the calibration you want for the IDLE temps, it will always read them the same. Out of 20 I5 3570K's I mounted there was only 2 that gave almost same idle temps. I tried with one CPU and removed the heat spreader and reapplied the thermal paste after that it almost got the same idle t...

Re: Corsair 550D I5 3570K Asus GTX670

Well I used a noiseblocker 3 pin 750 RPM for the exhaust and intake, and on the mobo case fan channels it also spins down because it supports PWM on 3pin?

Re: Corsair 550D I5 3570K Asus GTX670

Yea I know the PSU is overkill but I got a really sweet price :) I just removed all corsair fans. I for sure wanna go with the noise blocker multi frame ones, I have one here (750RPM model) and it just sound so nice. I was thinking of one for exhaust and 1 for intake both the 750 RPM model, for the ...

Squealing Videocard under 3Dmark or Furmark

so I bought the GTX 670 gigabyte version, the fans are nice and quiet even under load BUT there is some weird electronical buzzing/rattling&squealing noise when using furmark or 3Dmark 2011. The same thing happens with another card The Asus GTX 670 that I tested. I already tried 4 diffrent PSU's and...

so I bought the GTX 670 gigabyte version, at first everything was really nice and quiet but after I started to do 3Dmark 2011 tests the pain came in :( So basically when I start load test the video card starts to squeal like really bad, I also tested a Asus GTX670 and did the same thing. I tested in...

Thanks for input, I dont really like the R3. Could go the antec solo 2 instead of the corsair it might be better. Re: GTX 670 launched

I can only get the TOP version at the moment, I think that one got reviewed by techpowerup. The fan/noise should be the same as the normal one I guess. The Asus one seems to be really quiet if the reviews are correct. I also saw that there are 2 versions a TOP one and a normal. I...

Thanks for the input MikeC, I decided to order the Super Flower since I will never use 1000w and the SuperFlower seems to be the best all round PSU at the moment for a decent price if you ask me. I just hope the PSU doesnt have to much electrical noise.

Re: Imac 27" 2011 + Vortex 3

Well I tested some older SSD's, all of them might the fan ramp up till 6000RPM almost on power ON. As for the TRIM, on OSX leopard I had alot of problems with system crashes or stuttering after the TRIM fix it was all ok. I now also installed OSX Lion and I must say its the best OS I have ever used!...

Though I was really wondering if it wouldnt have been better if I went with another case like P183 or another case instead of the solo... maybi I would get even lower temps or is the airflow more then good enough with the solo?
