Should I get a Seasonic 400W Super Silencer now or wait till the 400W Seasonic Tornado is out? I'm building a new quiet, but powerful system, and it would be nice to have it ready for Half Life 2 :) Not sure what case I'm going to get but right now it's between one of the New Antecs, Sonata or GMC T...

Re: Where to buy Seasonic Super Silencer AGX 400W in Europe?

Sonata is definietly the cheapest solution for a DAW, according to sveeral DAW builders. Since you get a decent PSU with it. But since your getting a PSU, hmm one of those GMC cases with all the sound damping wouldn't be a bad idea for minimal effort :) I'm a mastering engineer BTW, so I understand ...

I would like to get a Seasonic Tornado, are tehre any outlets in Sydney?

Failing that, who I can order online from, that would deliver to Sydney?

What I don't understand is, you have some people who say the Sonata is "noisey" whereas I have others who have it on 24hours a day within 2 feet of their bed, stock standard, and they can't hear it! :)

http://www.quietpc.com/uk/cabinets.php Expensive, but it may make an alreayd quiet PC silent :) It has a quiet 120mm fan sucking air at the bottom into the cabient, this goes through an acousticlly shielded tunnel before reaching the PC inside. Not sure how the PSU hot air is exhausted if at all any...

WOW!

very clasy and stylish case, with nice features...hmmm

thought about a Sonata, but this with a nice PSU, plus HD rubber grommets would be excellent too!

But Sonata is much better value for money with teh PSU included, but no damping mats

New Geforce Cards with quiter fans

Well from Tomshardware writeup

http://www17.tomshardware.com/graphic/2 ... de-70.html

this one FX5600-VTDR128 measures in at 25db :)
