I checked the recommended drives. There are only 3 drives currently recommended there: the 500 GB WD Caviar (too expensive for me), the Raptor (74 GB only), and the Samsung (80 GB only).

I'll check the StorageReview.com website as soon as it comes back online (it doesn't work right now)

I'm planning to get a 320 ~ 400 GB hard drive and I'm looking for recommendations from you. There is a couple of considerations: First, my priority is not a silent driv...

If you ever get the chance to see Rammstein live, thou shall go. You can feel the pyrotechnics from 200M away
I've seen them perform live twice here in NYC. Pretty cool show. One of my favorite bands

Can I use a FanMate with the Intel Stock Fan of a 3.0 GHZ Prescott 775 processor? I saw somewhere that the FanMate cannot handle the power of some fans, that's why I ask.

The problem is that when I turned on the computer a few times after I installed the Intel HSF everything was normal. The fan speed was about 2200 rpms. It ran fine for about 3 days. Now it runs at 3500 rpms even after turning the computer on after the computer has been turned off for a while. I trie...

How to disable CPU Fan's 4th Pin

I have a MSI Neo3-F Motherboard and a Pentium 4 775 processor with the stock fan, which has 4 pins instead of three. The motherboard also has a cpu fan connector for 4 pins. I need to disable the 4th pin (the variable speed pin) because the fan speeds up a lot and makes too much noise. I've tried lo...

Any distributed computing projects that can run on the GPU??

I was hoping that there was a way I could run Folding@home or another worthy Distributed Computing project on my GPU instead of my CPU. Anybody has any ideas or comments on this?

Question about Antec PSU Fan

I got the Antec SLK3700-BQE case, with the power supply that came with it. I noticed that the speed of the PSU fan increases sometimes. Does it increase because the temperature increased, or because the PSU is supplying more power to the components, regardless of its temperature?

I guess I'll just get that Evercool aluminum fan, organize the cables, and just wait for the end of the summer. If I get some extra money, i'll get the indoor A/C.

I never thought about the cabling. It's a mess inside my pc with all those cables. I'll try to organize the cables a little bit to see if it helps lower temperatures a little.
