I have a IN9 32 Max and the uGuru goes down to 6v for the low setting. And you can alter and monitor the fan settings with the Windows uGuru utility loaded if you want, it has a driver and application. I myself only load the driver and dont' run the app. I let the BIOS take care of things. Runs my G...

I would go with the Thermalright Ultra 120 or 120 Extreme over the Ninja to cool your CPU. As far as the Quad Core goes, what I really don't like about it is that they are currently not true quad cores. They are two dual cores stuck together. Much like the first Intel dual cores. They have a much hi...

Are there any manufacturers out there that have good built in fan control on their boards aside from Asus' Q-fan2?

EIST, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep needs no software in XP or Vista. you can enable or disable it in the BIOS of the motherboard.

Re: Do Nexus rubber fan mounts fit Nexus fans?

Daft question, but I was looking at the images here and they seem more designed for open-corner fans. :? btw, Novatech are advertising the 120mm Nexus Silent at £4.72 inc VAT, seems a bargain price. :D They also stock the isolators in question. The fit closed corner fans, I am using them with some...

You do not need to have a cable from the optical drive for sound. It's all digital now via the data cable.

You have your drivers loaded and the cd drive is not muted in the audio control panel?

No, but why would you make a HTPC and not get a HDCP compliant card if you are going to buy a next gen card?

Be careful that the Gigabyte 8600GT card is not HDCP compliant. Completely idiotic, the GTS and the 8500 cards are both HDCP and this one is not.

All original items included. The base has some minor scuffs on the outside, but the middle that actually goes on the heatspreader is still smooth.

Gigabyte's fan control on the 965 boards is pretty crummy in my opinion. I had a DQ6 and using any method of the control offered, it would not spin my Scythe case fan unless I manually gave it a push.

DDL and DTS Connect will only do you good if you have a receiver you're going to hook up your computer to via spdif. I have a set of creative speakers that have it's own decoder box, so I use DTS Connect for sound.
