nice post. lol, it is more difficult than it looks. unfortunatley, the sonata II makes it very difficult to get behind the other panel to route wires, and going under the mobo isn't really an option. anyway, i'll try the other things you said, and post the results when i get my new mobo.

nick705: I'll put some duck tape over it and let everyone know how it goes.

SpHeRe31459: I don't think it is broken. It is not THAT loud, and the fan does turn itself off and on. nick705: Yeah, i was wondering the same thing when i built the thing. I see a lot of people have a fan mounted just behind the cages. I don't have a way to check temps yet, but i will definitely co...

SonataII rig

Decided to upgrade my case from an aspire superalien to the sonataII as well as change a few other things. So after $200, 3 wounds from installation, and 5 mountaindew code reds, it is finally done. Well, actually it is far from done because it still isn't completely silent, but it will have to do f...

hmm.. 12th page, bottom: "Intel for the 660 Processor sample."

The link for Intel's site needs to be fixed.

Anyway, great review! When is the Sonata II review coming?

cool! thanks. i think i am going to stick with the sonataII just cause it looks nicer. Is the s12 380 the same as the SS-380 ? i think i will take your advice on that, but will still wait for more opinions. Any opinions on the foam? Anything else i should consider for quieting? The fan that comes wi...

No Posts? What's going on with these forums. ajdedo, i am no expert, but i think you're okay with your case. From reading these forums and this review , it would appear that the XP-120 is a good choice. As for a PSU, the idea of a fanless PSU seems great to me, but i have read about some problems wi...

Some modifications

Hey everyone I'm looking to do some modifications to my system. Currently i have 2 front and 2 rear 80mm fans. I'm thinking i can reduce noise by replacing them with 2 120mm panaflos (or other quiet fans). What do you guys think.. will there be any noticeable improvement? Also thinking of switching ...

Dooood. Get a dell. 1. you get the warrenty, 2. less hassle, 3. the prices are cheaper if not the same. (if you buy at the right time) AND 4. The cases are already professionaly engineered for optimal air flow and silence. These things are mass produced so you can bet it's PERFECTLY engineered.
