Re: Noctua introduces twin NF-A12x25 NH-U12A CPU cooler

I'm done with Ninja5... not testing coolers for a long time, well i want to retest the NH-D15S... but will see when i get a chance. The Ninja5 is also as a good performer, and again the KazeFlex fans perform very well, there is no way of knowing how well without comparing dbs, rpms are not that mean...

Re: new system: AMD 3700X on MSI B450 Tomahawk

Upgrading from my 4770K. Originally I was thinking 3900X + Gigabyte x570 Master, but decided to go the lower-power (65W CPU) and fanless motherboard route. I couldn't convince myself that I really needed 12 cores or PCIe 4.0. The motherboard is pretty basic, but hopefully good enough. I'm on the bo...

New Gigabyte X570 BIOSes adds three profiles positions for the chipset fan
Users reported high pitch whines and a lot of noise with the first release models of their motherboards. Gigabyte is now adding three selectable fan profiles to their new BIOSes though.

Re: New AMD Ryzen 3000 chips leaked

Seems undervolting has good temperature drops on ryzen 3000, this will vary as its a silicon lottery, but none the less seems very interesting for lower rpm operation.

Re: Noctua introduces twin NF-A12x25 NH-U12A CPU cooler

Running the numbers into a graph now. The Fuma2 with the KazeFlex 120 and KazeFlex 25 data looks like an error crept in. The max core delta over ambient goes 33.9C, 33.3, 37, 47.4 as the rpm drops. You mind editing the table i cant seem to find what you are saying, maybe a circle??? i can send you ...

Re: Noctua introduces twin NF-A12x25 NH-U12A CPU cooler

Sorry for the delays, but took a long time to test the Fuma2, as it had a lot of configs that you could test them on. I liked the Fuma2, its a mini NH-D15, that was design not to have issues with dual fans with even tall memory, its a very versatile cooler for this alone, specially since low rpm ope...

Re: Scythe Big Shuriken 3

Just offhand, Silverstone RVZ03 is 83mm, SG12 is 82mm, FTZ01-E is 82mm. I can confirm the RVZ03 has a little more clearance, the NH-L12S has 70mm height, and still fits without touching NF-A12x15 as a side vent case fan, so my estimation is that the case has 86mm clearance, i still have the link of...

While most sites and youtube channels released their reviews of the 3900x/3700x, GamerNexus released a review of the 3600, which imo is a very interesting offering as its pricing is low and the performance is fairly good for a budget build, AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU Review & Benchmarks: Strong Recommenda...

It certainly looks impressive in a lot of aspects, more so the passive chipset, but what baffle me is the microphone, and according to the preview, you can setup the fan profiles according to the noise, maybe its a gimmick but certainly got my attention.

Re: Noctua introduces twin NF-A12x25 NH-U12A CPU cooler

For the fans that top out with high rpm, you might consider bailing on the 100% PWM and replacing with something lower. I think for this crowd the interesting stuff probably happens below 1000rpm. It'd be nice to know where the inflection point of the rpm vs temp curve is...but not a lot happens be...

I think I can have 3900x + x570 mobo + Noctua fan + ram + SSD for under 1500€... good investment I think, should last me for the next 10 years. I have two totally different ways of seeing this, 1) We are atm in a very competive situation with AMD trying and very likely to get a good market share, b...

The Kotetsu base looked a bit conical in SPCR's review, and that was credited in part for its good performance. But maybe for Ryzen 3 it would be a liability? Honestly its hard to say, this is the first chiclet design, but you might be into something thinking that the AMD design has the contact poi...
