hi, I'm using AbitEQ utility and Core Temp to read the temps. Both give the same readings. I've tried removing the side panel. The temperature does drop from 57C to 55C. The only "mod" i did to the Sonata is to remove the front filter. I've 2 HDDs mounted in front. Anyway, I've removed the Ninja to ...

techno, u may need to dl driver hi MC, thanks. I've already installed the driver, but forgot to update the previous post. It was the ABIT EQ utility that prevented CnQ from kicking in. Anyway, I disabled CnQ because it messed with my undervolt. btw, i've noticed that the fw1394 header is in a bad p...

bad Ninja Plus RevB AM2 mounting?

Hi, I've just gotten a new AM2 system plus the Ninja. My previous setup was a SocketA mobo with the Zalman 7000A. I can't help but notice the dumb installation method on the AM2 system. When you hook one side of the clip, the ninja will lean over to that side until you secure the other side. Will th...

P3-1GHz? It's a processor that runs off the +5v line, right?

That means the FSPxxx-60THN is out since it's made for +12v systems and the rails will go out of spec.

The Abit NF-M2 nView motherboard does not allow undervolting via BIOS. The lowest voltage is the processor's rated voltage. (1.25 for 65w EE)

However, CrystalCPUID works fine with it. The core temp drops when i lower the vcore.

I'm trying Prime95 with the new setup at 2GHz, 1.15v. btw, I've noticed that the DVI out from the motherboard isn't exactly stellar. Output from my previous AGP gf6600 seems to be better. I really need to look through the evga thread again But from first glance, it would appear that the warranty terms and conditions didn't *clearly and explicitly* declare that cards from auction sites would not be serviced?

It probably sucks, but it's a loophole in the T&C.

I like the 18x LG H42N.

It goes down to 2x read speed with DriveSpeed and is practically silent.

I used to have a Liteon 160P6S that made terrible screeching noises when the read speed is lowered.

the 6600 runs pretty cool.

You can try a Zalman ZM80HP A/D (fits AGP with some creativity) or the Aerocool VM101.

btw, as with the wired Comfort Curve 2000, it has that annoying (noisy) spacebar, but the rest of the keys are cool.

The Wireless Optical Desktop 2000 comes with the same keyboard.

The last time i checked, the load temp didn't go above 75C. Then again, my Sonata casing is stuffed of fresh airflow. You might do better with a P150/SOLO.

I bought a Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 3000 today

It's a wireless version of the Comfort Curve 2000 plus a 2 button mouse with tilt wheel.

Very very nice keyboard. Better and more quiet than my plasticky Logitech UltraFlat.

The "F Lock" thingy is highly annoying though.

Re: 5 volt rail at 4.65 volts; wtf?

According to Speedfan, my 5 volt rail oscillates between 4.71 V and 4.65 V. The minimum recorded was 4.57 V, max 4.84 V, mean is 4.68 V. Seeing as the 5% tolerance limit would be 4.75 V, I'm kind of concerned. The 3.3 V and 12 V rails are within 3% of rated. The PSU is a mATX Seasonic SS-200SFD, fa...
