the original poster was talking about software UI. As for the box design, it probably doesn't matter how ugly it is if you know what you're buying beforehand. If you're the type that walks into a B&M store without a clue what you're gonna buy, box design matters. Sure, brand X with ugly box may have...

I didn;t know those came with DVI connectors. My Creative Geforce 256 DDR had only 1 VGA port.

That said, those old Zalman or Coolermaster northbridge heatsinks are enough.

hi, are you sure it isnt a manufacturing defect? With regards to the bending of the heatsink. This sounds highly unusual.
This could be Arctic Cooling's way of sneaking in an extra bit of heat dissipation area.

Isn't this a feature of the processor instead of the mobo chipset? You just need an Athlon X2 or C2D 6xxx. Not too sure about mobile processors though. Yes, but it has to be enabled in the BIOS (much like Cool & Quiet needs to be enabled in the BIOS) i've enabled hardware virtualization in VirtualP...

If there're any cracks in the heatpipe, the gas will escape, rendering the heatpipe useless.

Considering that you don't have any temperature problems, it appears that you've done a great job hammering the pipes

Re: Virtualisation support in Nvidia chipsets

I'm looking to replace 2 machines with just one which runs Linux as host OS and Windows as a guest using virtualisation. For low power and good support in Linux, I'm looking at motherboards based on the Nividia 7050 chipset such as the TF7050-M2 from Biostar. Could anyone with a motherboard with th...

Nice build. I have a kinda generic question for you - why did you go for a black DVD-RW instead of silver? Was it because it's difficult to get a silver drive that actually matches the colour of the 2480? Edit: One other thing - you mention a AMD A64 x2 3800+ Windsor, 65W, but the photo shows a 500...

The Asus M2NPV-VM has only 2 settings for ram voltage. Auto and 1.9v. You may have problems running some rams at DDR800.

I needed 2.0v to get 2x1GB Kingston DDR667 (Hynix FP-Y5) to DDR800. My board's an NF-M2 nview.

Your mileage may vary.

What Bluefront said, and probably a bad PSU too. In any case, the Zen300 is a bad choice for that setup, since the motherboard draws +5v for the processor. The voltage regulation on recent PSUs favour heavy +12v loads. For that AXP setup, the +5v rail voltage will be too low, and the +12v rail too h...
