Cheap Watercooling Kit for GPU

I am happy with the sound and the temps on my CPU. (37C idle, 60C load with 2 cores E6300@3.15GHz) However the GPU on the other hand idles at 60C and goes up to 71C under load. (EVGA 8800GTS) Would a cheap watercooling kit with a compatible plate (danger den one?) be adequate to cool it even when ov...

OK, i went for it  A quick review. The version you get TODAY has OPEN front and back fan placements. The front planel interface also has square pre-made USB connectors ( the older has ones which u requires you to use the manual to individually plug in pins) The front is VERY closed. the only op...

Sorry to state that I live in NZ. The quiet PC community is near non-existance. And paying for silent counterparts usually translate to a much higher premium. The SOLO and P180 is VERY hard to find. Some sites have them and they are either out of stock or back ordered. And since this is holiday seas...

Ok the P180B is out. I forgot to state that I also have an X-fi xtrememusic on the bottom PCI slot. I don't think the seasonic will fit, and I don't want to buy an extender nor a new PSU. The only choice I got left is the Antec SOLO. BUT this case is near nowhere to be seen where I live. The P180 is...

E6300 w/ Ninja Scythe Rev1. 2GB G.Skill ram Gigabyte 965P-S3 8800GTS Seasonic S12 500W 80GB Seagate HDD with Alleycat's enclosure ---- Issues I can think of for both. Yes, they run cooler. However i can't gurantee that it might be cool enough to not cause the PSU fan to rev up.

Indeed I am, thanks for sharing this superb technique! Even during seek the sound is really muffled. It sounds just like someone is tapping on wood gently, instead of a hacksaw going away on a peice of metal. This is still in the "testing stage". I am using a seagate SATA one which is the loudest HD...

OK I have made the same enclosure as your with all the same components.

I however found it to be much quieter with NO FOAM inside. The HDD is just squashed it with 3 gel packs.

How much did it cost you in total? The case ( 222 X 146 X 55MM ) seems to be really expensive. I live in NZ (Just across the ditch), and they have Jaycar here as well and its NZ $48. I can able to source the same EXACT gel pack you used too. The brand of "Freeza Pak" and they are 21.5cms x 12cms for...

Ok, I am thinking of silencing my HDD. The commerical ones are way too expensive for what they are. So Alleycat's choice is on my list. I am able to source the exact enclosure and some gel packs. But now comes down to the question of what is the foam used? There are many types of foam. I am wonderin...

Seasonic S12 380W Rev 1. is dying

The seasonic that I bought a year ago is intermittently making clicking noises, like it is hitting onto something. I think the life of the fan is near its end, as a sleeve bearing fan was never intended to be used horizontally. I have two questions to ask. 1.) what fan should I replace it with that ...

Hello, Which is the better in terms of noise and heat of the two PSU above? I know both are quiet. The seasonic is cheaper and has a 120mm fan ( a plus), but the Neo HE is modular (a big plus). I have the Seasonic S12 380W driving my old system and its really good and quiet and cool. I am wondering ...

I know its taboo here to have fanless and psu next to each other. But I am currently planning to have my new PC built into a drawer of my desk. The voltage value is dependant on where u live. America is 110V AC, most PSU have active switching these days but apparently not on the nexus.

There should be a red swicth at the back with the label of what voltage value it is set. It is usually hidden behind a sticker.

Hope that helps.
