i mounted an 80mm fan in place of a 60mm fan, performance is much better and the noise level is much lower...although i didn't rubber mount it.

going the way of the larger fan may be more cost effective for the job at hand.

i'm not sure linux would be your best bet for this...i can't say i have my linux box up and running all that much, its good to know, but doesn't have all of the options for it as upfront as windows or mac. the wake on LAN is one thing, and the drives, i'm not sure if you'd be able to set them to tur...

it does look better, but all the heat they're directly exposed to could be a problem, as the heatpipes would expand..or at least in theory they would...

it would take heat away from the CPU faster, yes, but the fan would need to keep up.

i'm only loosely familiar with the board, my friends new system as it, but i haven't gotten the time to go to his house and help him build it. dual channel is more efficient..

i didn't even notice the shroud on the heatsink either, maybe that would be worth removing to see how temps react.

aim for ATi when it comes to a graphics card, that board works best with crossfire, so using nvidia may surface some unwanted issues.

your ram isn't running dual channel?

your mobo is going up becauase you have the heatsink right in front of the fan, it can't take much from the rest of the system.

hmmm i think your motherboard temp is fine for the system, the CPU isn't getting any warmer, so its probably just the CPU spreading its heat... there's probably a chipset thats just heating up, you may try sticking little ram heatsinks on them to see if that helps. as for benchmarking software, you ...

hmm...best bet would be making the two drives you have in that computer the slaves in another, or having one be secondary master and secondary slave, it doesn't matter, that would be the easiest way to get to your files. however, if they're all password protected, no bets on getting to it. when i ha...

try using krazy or guerilla glue on it, by putting glue on the piece, and using a pair of needle nose pliers to guide it into place, and just let it sit for a few hours. that plastic piece supports 4 pins as well, so its better to at least try fixing it before getting a new one. but i'd suggest remo...

that case, it looks amazing, with those huge grills and mesh front panel...makes me wish that i could get one.

the only thing i would do with the HDD suspension is find a way to secure it, like eye-hooks or something, i wouldn't want to bump the case too hard and hear a life shattering crash.

just as an example for this, take ATI's Rage graphics card...when the ATI Rage 2C was released it had 8MB ram on the card, non expandable...that would be a 3d workstation card, because it could support 32bit graphics, however, with only 8MB of ram on the card itself, it had limited performance. work...
