Loud Corsair HX 450W
Disappointment! I finaly got HX 450W (very nice and quality looking PSU), and I tried it's noise at my full load. With prime95 (blend) and furmark my psu's fan ramps up significantly. It became VERY loud (for my ears), louder than Slipstream 1200rpm, not sound of air moving but sound of non ...

Re: WD Caviar WD10EADS: 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM?
So you have a defective HDD. I have WD6400AAKS, WD10EACS, WD10EACS, and there is no comparison between WD6400AAKS and any Green Power drive.QuietOC wrote:My WD10EADS is slow and loud. Get a WD6400AAKS.jason80 wrote:Does anyone know what the speed is???

Sure, it fits with no problems. I removed that middle fan and put 92mm in front (with grills cutted), much better temperatures... Edit: i think we misunderstood: i have Quiet Drive suspended in 5'25 bays (near optical drive), but it will sure fit on lower chamber (near PSU), even with middle fan ins...

Sapphire HD 4670 Ultimate Crossfire?
Hi! After reading tests and reviews they often shows that two of HD 4670 cards can even outperform hd4850. I need 3 DVI outputs (dual monitor and projector), so buying one card and silencing it isn't an option. I am not a gamer, from time to time I play for fun. So I found these cards ideal, good pe...

I have it in my p182, sow hot air from other components isn't a problem. How fast fan should I get? I can accept maximum 800rpm (would like to see 600), will it be enough? Like NB Blacksilent X1, 80mm @ 5V? I still have second thoughts about this mod, if old 12cm hole is uncovered fully, fan will co...

12cm fan PSU to 8cm fan PSU mod?
Hi! I have some cheap LC power 550W PSU and slip stream 800rpm in it. Surprisingly PSU stays cold even under load (or maybe just casing), but if ambient temperature of my room gets higher it starts buzzing. If I put hand on back grill, I feel almost no air getting out. So what component is getting h...

What are the temperatures in 5.25' bay, have you tried it? Does it cause vibrations? Now if I look at my p182, I can't imagine putting Quiet Drive on the floor of upper chamber. @LodeHacker: Yeah, I heard about it very much too, about "being silent". I doubt that any Spinpoint F1 will come close to ...
