You really should add a case fan to exhaust the heat from the system. Otherwise the heat will get into the PSU and make the PSU fan spin fast. I had to mod the zalman with a panaflo to make is nore acceptable noise wise. Also in case you didn't know In oz Panaflo fans are avail from www.pccasegear.c...

Zalman 400a louder AFTER L1A mod
I replaced the fan in my zalman 400a with a panaflo L1A and the results are it's louder than stock. Since the L1A has a lower CFM it looks like the PSU spins it at max speed all the time. Summers can get pretty hot here in oz and I don't have air-com. What Can I do to safely fix this? a) fan isolato...

My greatest worry is about the temps. Questions: 1. Is 53C normal for a 1,6V undervolted Barton? It seems too high. I 2. Are the temps for the southbridge normal? I thought it was the 4. Any obvious way you see to reduce that number 6? What is your ambient (room) temp Your case temp seems really hi...

1) For a gamer and home theater. I would prefer the NF7-S. Audio quailty is much better with soundstorm. Unless you will be using an ecternal card. SATA is also going to increase your future upgrade options. 2) DDR400 is perfectly suitable for your needs. Mininum get cas 2.5 rated. AWESOME ram will ...

Barton XP-M vs. XP
After plonking down money for an XP-M. I got a bit bored waiting for it to come in the mail ( US -> Aust). I decided to do a bit of testing on my stock barton 2500+ My Undervolting results were very-very similar to the hexus.net review on the XP-M. LOCKED aqxfa 0335 1833MHz 1.45v Pass 1900MHz 1.45v ...

Sorry, I didn't check if his was an integrated video board But from hexus.net review "It supports 200FSB CPUs but then doesn't accompany this with DDR400 DC memory usage. It's not a typo either. Biostar, apparently, has had to reduce the memory compliance to DDR333 to ensure that onboard graphics wo...

Barton and NF2, Overclock using the FSB and Vcore What are your load temps and what HSF are you using? Try using a smaller overclock first Maybe 180FSB, This will give you 180 x 11 = 1980Mhz If that doesn't work, you may have to increase your vcore or your HSF isn't up to the task of cooling an over...

Link here lists the Abit NF7-S as incompatible.
I'm not sure about revision 2 of the NF7 though, which includes mounting holes.
EDIT: found this "The Zalman requires a corner to be cut off to avoid bending a cap on NF7 boards"
