How is it any more secure than elastic when tipping your case on it's side or transporting? Are the drives secured by a friction fit?

At least they are simple to remove.

Western Digital GP WD5000AACS any quieter than WD7500AACS?

Is the 500GB version (2 platters) any quieter than the 750GB version (3 platters)?

Thanks for the high end review.

SSD prices need to be cut in half before I'll even consider them.

A 64GB Mtron would be on my short list to buy if it was at least $600 or less.

But $1200+? No thanks. I'd rather get really creative with silencing two Raptors in RAID 0.

I'm wondering if the Scythe Quiet Drive will be an improvement over the SmartDrive2002.

It's nearly half the price of the SilentDrive2002C as well.

What's the "quietest" Raptor out there now? Relatively speaking, of course. ;)

I'm thinking of getting a Raptor, but not sure if the SmartDrive2002 will just bake it.

Seriously, I know I'm not the only one to be burned by the defective SilentMaxx proSilence PSU's. So yes, you are saying that a SilentMaxx products sold through a distributor is not fully supported or warrantied through SilentMaxx, and is only warrantied by the reseller. Yes, but that is not something special for Silentmaxx. That is true for most things you can buy that are manufactured abroad....

They still do business in the US.

Antec is not a US company either, but they have a US headquarters, not just a two bit distributor.
