and my hdd are around 45-50 c'.

(it's IL as co.il... maybe it's the air... how do you clean dust anyway? just vacuuming? )

i replaced my rear fan to a scythe sflex 1200 and it actually makes more noise then the stock that was before. maybe because it's 1200 and the previous was 500 (i'm not sutre), and it's under volted to 5v. my vx450w is nosier then the zalman. in any case, what did you use to dampen the case? my hdd ...

the psu is in the front so it will make more noise.
in the p180\182 the psu is in a different bay so the hdd can be at the back.
you don't think it will make it quieter?

Wibla - maybe it's just the GTS generally (or maybe mine specifically..)
JVM - to bad you're just nVidia - the 3850\70 are very nice.
in any case, here's something to help you decide (performance wise) -

my card has an annoying coil whine and it heats up my system even if it's under clocked and the screen is turned off and the computer is at idle. the 100$~ is too expensive. i really need it mostly for testing the system. i thought of somthing in the scope of - GAINWARD BLISS GF 8400GS 256MB - http:...

looking for a cool and quiet VGA

Hi, as the title goes: i'm looking for a cool card with a heat sink\heat pips only. i'm running vista 64, and play a lot of video files (avi. h264...) beside that i don't need anything strong for games or such. the cheapest there is. (i currently have a gigabyte 8600 GTS silent pipe that idles at 50...

i have a gigabyte 8600GTS silent pipe. it does make a coil whine and buzzing while active (moving windows, running videos and programs). i sent a question to GB for help, they didn't answer (yet). you can defiantly hear it in a silent system (my system is nosier then before - since i replaced my rea...

i think the article was a bit lacking - i think it should have been added a test of the heat pipes editions as well.
also, as some cards are known of having coil whine it should have said something more on that.
beside that, the article was very good and informative.

there isn't any software that tells you how much power each component take?

also, what is the noise charecter of it?my Zalman 460 was quieter.

my intake is probably around 40c~ - maybe that's why it's noisy?
