You could probably get away with the S12-380 or maybe even the 330, your system won't be pulling too much power even at load. If you've got 4 fans already (not including the GPU) I dare say you'll never even hear the Seasonic.

Not especially, 44 degrees is still reasonably cold for a graphics card- my 6600GT says it will do 145 before throttling, so I'm sure you've got some headroom. I do have a mild overclock though, with the VF900 running as low as I can get (goes through a Zalman fan controller first). :) I wouldnt wor...

If your using the 'classic view' for the drivers, then just right-click on the desktop and select the name of your monitor. The temp readings are accessible from there. If you've got the horrible new interface, you'll want to revert back to the old design, although you can still find the temps liste...

As long as the GST is reasonable that's not too bad.
Now then- anybody know where in the UK sells these?
I cant believe they've made it to Australia before the UK (no offence, but it is really far away :) ), but somehow there's no-body selling them here, according to google anyway. Any ideas?

I've got the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro on my 3500 (cheap as a very cheap thing), and it runs passive up to 35 degrees before the mobo starts the fan (probably could go higher, but I chickened out at 40 degrees and lowered the limit :) ). There should be an option in the bios to ignore the CPU fan- its under 'PC Health' or something like that. Turn that off, and you should be fine.
Not sure why the other one didnt complain though- perhaps the mobo with the Sunbeam had been used with a fan previously?

Just by the by, if it's going under your desk do you really need a window on your case?
You could just get some dense foam and insulate the noise considerably.
And if you really cant find another retailer with a wider range, go online instead!

It may be worth flipping the foam over as well- at the moment, theres airflow between the foam and case, but none between the foam and HDD. The foam will act like a warm blanket underneath the drive. Turn it so the drive is sitting on the spikes, it will sink a little but should still leave some spa...

Nope, it'll pull 110-120VAC from the wall, and put it through a transformer to provide the 20KV potential needed. Same thing happens in reverse from overhead powerlines to the local substation, and again from there to your home. Basically, high voltage means low current for a given amount of power, ...

IsaacKuo- That's a good idea, I was planning to use the chassis for the HTPC but once I'd had a look at it I forgot.
I might well use the 5.25" bays in my current PC, since I'm not using any 3.5"'s.

Could you not simply rip out most of the internal drive structure and suspend them all? Or failing that, for a normal ATX case remove most * of the 3.5" bays and suspend half of your SmartDrives in them? It's probably not worth replacing all of them just to use them with a case. *I say most of the 3...
