Hi, It greatly improves the contact between the base of the HS and the CPU. It matters a great deal. It is also much easier to install. Regarding the ease, it requires quite a bit of pressure to screw the bolts in. I've actually found the clip method to be easier. Didn't need a screwdriver. Pressur...

Try Akasa Fancontroller JR. It on ly controls three channels but moboheader should be able to control 4th one. FanController JR works perfectly with Nexus and gets it down to 6 volts no problem. I have used one for nearly 2 years and it has worked well. Unlike its bigger brother it has no lights or...

It may be that the fan controller on the motherboard is a PWM, and this is causing the fan to click?
Exactly what I was going to point out. This happened with one of my Yate Loon 120mm fans ... plugged it into a normal 3pin on my Nexus fan controller, problem solved (no more clicking).

Scythe 120mm fan "clicking"

It's a Scythe AD1212DS-A73GL(GTCL7), normally included with a Scythe Kama Bay. It exhibits an annoying "clicking noise" while in use. I've tried PWM and normal DC fan controllers (5v, 7v, 12v) and a direct molex connection to the power supply, and nothing's improved the clicking. Is there any way I ...

Specs:

8800GT 512MB
4GB of RAM
1HDD, 1 optical, 4 120mm fans, 2 PCI cards

Read as about 350w, which is the absolute bare minimum of a good power supply that could be used with my rig.
