Gitto is correct, though sometimes the interference can be picked up in the soundcard as well. I can tell a huge difference between my $20 labtecs using onboard sound and my Z-2200's using an Audigy 2 (the latter is much, much less prone to picking up unintended signals).

I've seen this from both cheaper video and sound cards before. It's not necessarily a problem with the part's design though as sometimes just switching out the offending part for another seemingly identical part can solve the problem. Rather a pain to track down though, good luck.

If you really can't get it off you might try an oil filter wrench that uses a rubber strap to grip the filter. I really don't think you should need something that extreme unless you managed to crossthread it though.

Be careful of OEM Fortrons. Fortron makes a LOT of psu's and while they will often share parts they will also often have a few differences beyond just the fan. There are some interesting units though at good prices, just don't be surprised if efficiency is a bit lower and heat is a bit higher.

Seasonic's fan controller ramps up quicker than others such as zalman's under moderate loads.

Looks like it should fit, if there's any problems I'm sure you could just use an Alpha though.
