Don't forget to change voltage for "video playback" mode. I got dual screens so the card would always stay in that mode and the voltage for it is way higher than required.swaaye wrote:Secondly, RBE can edit the voltage table in the BIOS for these cards.

c. GPU: try existing radeon 5850 first(may consider 6950 x2 will hack to 6970 via fw) - newegg has sapphire 6950 $285 6950 hack to 6970 is tempting cost wise, thats for sure. In crossfire it'll be tough to cool tho. Another variable is upcoming dual-gpu card from AMD, 6990 i think, in February. It ...

Quite a downer
Finally a cpu that can utilize available memory bandwidth, and it shows no difference in real world tests
I guess lets all hail advanced cache system that removes necessity for low latency memory...

I am quite happy with my Benq V2400W for gaming, its quite good as far as TFTs go, but 60Hz really pisses me off in dynamic shooters. How can you be quite happy with and pissed off by the same thing? ;) Hmm I must explain here As far as common LCDs go, my Benq is ok for colors, reaction time, input...

Not from my experience. Re: 120hz monitors and gaming
But at the end of the day, of course I'll turn down the settings to make a game playable (not much point otherwise!), so let's assume I can run my games at 60fps (which seems more realistic than 120fps). Returning to my original question, would games running at 60fps look any better on a 120hz moni...

So accidentally the only air intake hole is now near the videocard?

my AC Silentium case is designed around that. Cool incoming air does make a difference.

For me it sounds wild that you reinstall windows without reinstalling program...

Overall not much is gained in power efficiency. Same 40nm TSMC manufacturing process, a bit smaller die, expected result. Idle clocks for both new cards 100MHz core and 300MHz memory and idle consumption on par with 5770. AMD made a good mainstream card to compete with GTX 460, but nothing spectacul...

Now its generic and color scheme is meh.
Where do I click to get to first unread message in a thread? Used to be an orange page icon on left of thread name?
