Re: First Radeon RX EU official pricing seen on web
The reference 8GB model is also listed at CZK 8,000 ~ 295 EUR so 4GB will likely be around 250. That additional 4GB seems quite useless, though. Would like it to be way faster and power efficient than the 980 - otherwise I'm just going to buy a used 970.

Re: Thoughts on Jonsbo RM3
I considered purchasing it, but ultimately didn't because of cost to import to USA and primarily poor airflow concerns. Well, it's definitely insufficient for something like quiet dual 980Tis but coming from a case with one exhaust fan, this is a huge upgrade  Looks like it'll perform better t...

Thoughts on Jonsbo RM3
This will likely be my next case as we start getting them in Europe. Looks like it'll do fine, or at least much better than the Jonsbo U2, in a quiet somewhat low power setup. What really caught my eye is the overall sturdiness and materials. I don't think I've ever seen 4mm think aluminum or 5mm te...

Re: Corsair SFX Gold series released - SF450 and SF600
Personally, I'd like to see more low-power units, 300W or even 200W. With the forthcoming advent of Pascal GPUs, I'm not planning to go for any GPU necessitating PCI-E power plug. Thus the peak power consumption of my rigs will not exceed 150W. This one right here. Imagine a quality 300W Titanium-r...

What did you use to do the stress testing for the temperatures? By the way, if something causes the GPU to throttle then it won't actually drop the temp realistically. Oh, forgot to mention. Rendered a 3D model and ran Unigine Heaven 4.0 simultaneously, some GTA V and Battlefield 4, that type of us...

08/2018 Update The system has greatly evolved from its original form, and I'm sure sharing it is still useful especially for folks interested in quiet SFF computing... You should try afterburner and fiddling with undervolting using power limit and overclocking. I was planning on writing an article on that but didn't quite get that far. :) Did some Heaven 4.0 runs fans locked at 1200RPM. My card can spin its fans as low as around 300-400RPM, though. They start at 5...

You can pick gigabyte or quiet but not both. It's got that 1,6k RPM minimum fan speed.

Thanks for the review.
Would've been cool to see, though, how much the 960 can be undervolted via power target and core clock while maintaining its performance. The difference in power consumption is high. Mine has a bit "loose" voltage

3,5" HDDs can cause that low humming sound but noticeably less than with the Q11 since the U2 is way more sturdy. Use 2,5" Drives and mount them in the front bracket - no bad vibes. Also the side panel mounting system is superior.Zenigata wrote:Is this case prone to vibrations?

Jonsbo U2 would take the same desktop space but it has a lot better ventilation, if you don't mind the 5cm of added height.

I admire the acoustic performance of these, but the only thing Super Flower/EVGA has to do to make Be Quiet obsolete is to pick a quiet FDB fan and make it run slow. I mean, a 650W G2 should stay passive until 300W AC, it's got better performance and costs 2/3.

+1 for the 120i. I've got it mounted on a Z77N wifi and it fits well even with the ASUS GTX 960 (has backplate on it). The stock fan, though, got replaced with a better sounding and performing Slip Stream SY1225SL12LM-P set at the lowest possible PWM setting trough BIOS.

Alright, we got the first 950 leaks. It's from videocardz so you might want to take it with a bag of salt.
In a nutshell, slightly above the 760, a bit more behind the 960. If priced at around 150€, it's a great card. Not sure about it being a 60-80-watt card.

It's funny that you mentioned the 660 and 750Ti there. I did a sidegrade from 660 to a 750Ti last year, and while my framerates remained the same, I noticed a lot smoother gameplay. Couldn't explain it back then. This is the first time anyone has factually proven that.
