I am not advocating the purchase of this cpu, only pointing out its existence and how interesting it is. A 5050e is not nearly the equal of this processor. The 5050e has a Hyper Transport of 2.0 and this new Sempron has a Hyper Transport of 3.6. It can be volted from .85 to 1.35 and has a multiplier...

45w AM3 Sempron 140 can unlock to a 2.7Ghz dual-core, $40

I haven't seen a thread title mentioning this cpu, but perhaps someone has mentioned it in a thread. Thought I would post this in case.

The comparison I would like to see is how does the AMD 785G boards compare to the Intel/Geforce 9400 boards like the GIGABYTE GA-E7AUM-DS2H for an HTPC? These are the two boards I am considering. Which board would you choose for an HTPC? thinking of the same thing myself. I have concluded that vide...

It's worse on some than others, but none of them load like they use to. A few take right off and I can watch them. I Binged it and found many with same complaint, but no consensus. I am convinced it is a YouTube problem as Reuters, MSNBC, and others all load fine. Why more don't complain I don't kno...

Anyone else having stutter probs. with YouTube?

I can watch Jaman.com movies without interruption and Hulu shows the same. I can watch MSNBC or CNN videos without interruption. But whenever I try to watch YoutTube it is really slow. In fact I can't watch much of anything on Youtube. If there is something I want to watch, and likely keep, I just d...

IMHO the media should make more of Walter Cronkite's death than they did of MJ. Cronkite wasn't called "the most trusted man in America" for nothing. He was there when monumental things happened in history. I believe him to be a member of the Greatest Generation. For example, when the civil rights m...

In the early nineties American business eliminated a whole layer of mid management jobs. They never missed those people. It was just, I guess, a whole cadre of paper shufflers. And I will lobby for my usual want, a handle on top. There has to be a way to integrate an acceptably attractive and useful handle.
